Im Building a Garage in my Backyard!

So stoked you're going through with the home shop, i love watching garage builds come together, arguably more then cars. And i know you will do an awesome job documenting it and outfitting it and i am so stoked to see it. Its also really cool that its not huge and its in a pretty normal size back yard makes me feel like its do able for pretty much anyone to achieve 👍👍

The point you made about primer having a rough texture & would cause orange peel, etc on the paint job if it' not sanded down, is exactly what Spoon said in Jimmy's last video while they prepped the S13. 320 grit, guide coat. You nailed it. Looking good bro! PS. Hit up Vin Tra, he has a 360 (as Im sure you know).

Spray foam and a mr cool mini split will make that space amazingly! Definitely worth discussing shop stuff with Taylor Ray since he was very hands on with his and he is localish to you!

you're meant to block sand guide coat to show the low spots, using a da is playing with fire, either way cool that you're doing the work, that's a good way to learn.

interesting to watch you do this, ive almost completed a 20x20 workshop here in the uk. built it very much how it would build over there (timber frame) and it was so quick compared to how we would normally do things (brick walls) 😂😂

Nice size building .. I just got my garage concrete done .. it’s 40x46 pad in my 40x80 building.. I couldn’t afford to do the whole thing .. lifts are coming later this year 😊

can you make the garage longer?? more like a rectangle? or do you pay for do get more sq ft???

Personally would have sanded with 600. Risky business going any lower than that on the entire vehicle especially if you’re going straight to paint after. I only go that low if I’m trying to knock something down in a small area and it’s a thick coat.

Just a heads up, The "Dtown" can be reallllllllll picky about how the garage/sheds look. Though you are already permitted for the slab so I assume you know already.
