Vessel plays this live on guitar (Missing Limbs) so in this song it sounds like hes laying his own piano back over his guitar. So epic. Im not sure tho i could be wrong.
Missing Limbs is the last song on the 2nd album (TPWBYT). The sound at the end is rather similar to how Chokehold starts off on the next album. This trilogy of albums is a well done interconnected masterpiece.
I saw Missing limbs live in Phoenix this past April 😭 when he stood there with his guitar I started to choke up. Make sure to watch these live too. This song is 100% better live
Sugar is one of those songs that you listen to and at first you're not really sure if you'll like it or not, but by the end you're so glad you gave it a chance and cant wait to hear it again. The chorus goes from soft/sweet to visceral, really changing the way I think of what he means by saying "I've got a taste for you". Kind of going from a want to a need.
In the beginning, Sugar was one of my least favourite songs. Two months into my ST journey, and I'm glad I'm past the baby making age .. just listening to this song is risky! 🔥🥵
Sugar is straight baby-making music. Now that you've heard Missing Limbs, if you feel like it, listen to Vessel singing it live at the Lafayette (it's called the From the Room Below concert). It's even superior to the studio version.
The analogies Vessel uses in the lyrics are absolute genius! “Sugar, I developed a taste for you” is crazy! Sugar represents someone Vessel wants (sleep) but to us humans can correlate to a lover or someone you desire. “Sugar” is something we think of as sweet and tasty but also can be bad for you. That analogy is down right criminal.😮💨
I got the genre you were thinking of, it's the Baby Making Genre, an if you like that type of vibe you should listen to the Queen Of The Damned soundtrack. Please id like you to react to that soundtrack trust me you'll love. Btw love your videos bro ❤️ keep it up.
id highly recommend listening to the orchestra versions of this by Jamie Turton on RU-vid, I sobbed so incredibly hard the first time I heard it. he also does a bunch of other sleep token songs with an orchestra sound! Id love to hear sleep token live with an orchestra! let me know if you check it out!
Love your ST reactions bro. Maybe because that's exactly how I reacted when I first heard these songs also. Missing Limbs is one of the shortest, simplist ST songs but I have that song in my Top 5 songs from them. I could listen to it over and over. You should definitely check out "Mine" and "Higher" next for sure. Keep em coming bro!!
