Big boss, Thank you so much for keeping Alex a fresh supply of boards to work on. Your knowledge of how every device on the planet comes apart is amazing, not to mention the fact you have to keep half a billion tiny screws organized and remember which customers device they go with! You ROCK sir!!!

I'm happy every time an Apple device is repaired, of course because their repairing polytics. And if you are the technician who does it, makes them to be ashamed because, with your knowledge, you are demonstrating them and everyone that is not necessary to change full boards to repair any of their devices. The futher shame for Apple is the lack of parts for unauthorized repair shop and so one must rely on donor board, as Alex does...regards from Italy.

@@paolomonai9511 there are a lot of spare parts available for repairing, but from IPhone X to now most of them are paired with the motherboard, so you can't use them without losing funcionality. I was referring to the shameful repairing way from Apple, who only offers to their users complete part replacements (or deny repairing, just what happended to LTT) instead of repairing them, and at indecent prices.

There’s a reason for that. You don’t think they know it isn’t necessary? Lmao. They would prefer to sell you a new device and then fix it themselves and sell in another mac as refurbished.

So you remove the faulty Mosfet and replace it with a donor Mosfet. Is there no way that you can test the donor one to see if there is an equivalent new Mosfet available? The only reason i ask is it might come to a point where you have say 3 customer boards all needing the same mosfet to be replaced and only two donor boards, so one has to be unfixable. Love the channel..
