Hey, look! It's a thing I'm doing now - a post-on-location-video image review video. That's right. Read that sentence again. It makes sense.
After my most recent on-location video series to photograph saguaro cactuses in the Sonoran Desert, I wanted to share with you my thoughts about the pictures and show you how I planned my trip in the first place. So buckle-up, amigos, because it's time to talk about things.
I planned this trip to Arizona by looking at shadows on Google Maps satellite view. I wanted to shoot saguaros, so I just looked for saguaro shadows. Then I looked for a road next to those shadows and traced it back to civilization.
Yep, I'm a regular Magellan or Columbus or any of the other legends of navigation.
As for the images, I'm going to discuss camera settings, composition, what's good, what's bad, how I feel about the images, and how to properly view digital photos (hint: you can't use your light table). From the 6x17 photos I took with my Shen Hao TFC 617-A camera to the 6x7 shots on my Mamiya RZ67 to the instant film on my Mint Camera SLR670-S all the way to the light painting night photography shots on my Canon EOS 6D - I'll talk about them all.
