I’ve seen identical process on RU-vid using black stain in place of the manganese, so “yes” is the answer. I’ve got all the necessary to try this and will definitely be having a go myself.
no offense but I found this video to be not useful. very cute kids but, there is a lot of missing information. I do not believe that based solely on what is show that one could successfully repeat what is show. Also can the item be fired? What do you meanly "xerox" ? Do you mean an old xerox copier from the 1970's or a laser printer, ink jet or is there a specific brand of coping devise or "toner" required?
Cute kids? What does the subject have to do with the process? Offence taken! Great video btw. I have seen many, this is good. I have used this same process a good few times. Remember the image tightens up as the clay shrinks so good sharp images to start with
