Not all Festool tools are good. I have a stack of Festool tools and 2 of them aren't up to snuff. I sold the kapex and had to repair my OF1400 myself as the Festool repair facility in Indiana was unable to fix it.

No where does the video claim it's a diy. It's to show a bookshelf built with festool. Yes festool is way to expensive for diy work but that's not what they where made for. They are made to be used every day in a professional environment.

I don't understand why everyone rags on the cost of the Festool vs other products. It's not that big of a deal is it really? You want and can afford, great, you don't want or can't afford, no biggie. There are great tools for every budget and every need out there. As far as better?? I don't know about that - very objective. I think it his finished piece looked great but I may be wrong of course. At any rate, I have a few Festool machines, and some Dewalt, and some Bosch and some etc etc. Whatever works, but I don't have anything by Festool that I regret for one second. Every time I use anything from them my result is great as is with other tools when used as intended.

Festool are nice but they are definitely to expensive, you can get the same quality for half, maybe not adjustment ease or their #1dust collection though.

@@austinmarius850 What can you say? People are jealous and like to complain. They should be happy that we have a choice from Harbor Freight to Festool and everything in between. Imagine if the government designed and manufactured woodworking tools. We'd still be using hand saws and wooden block planes for everything.
