@@eliasbecker21 Please listen to Chris Kläfford in the Swedish Idol final and share your thoughts here. Very underrated clip, best cover I´ve heard of imagine
Lately it's been difficult to imagine all the people sharing all the world. It's a dark place, man, but your voice has so much power. Thank you for using it in such a special way. You've really made a difference.
There's a singer called John Lennon, check out his voice it's pretty good too... If you don't like it there's an other singer called Paul McCartney, check it out and think again about whose voice is better... The guy of this video has a really good voice I agree, but nothing compared to lennon's or macca's one:)
After reading a few negative comments, I felt compelled to comment again. This cover is very well done and truly embraces the spirit of the song. To those of you who made negative or mean spirited comments, it's unfortunate you have no concept of "brotherhood of man" or recognition of a real talent. You represent the exact opposite of what Lennon writes about and believes.
I agree with most of your comment. I am a huge Beetle fan, since I was 2. However, John lennon did not represent love. He left his first wife and completely abandoned his first child, that says a lot about how a person truly is. A real man doesn't leave his child specially knowing how bad it feels to be left. John lennon was abandoned by his father so he knew how painful that was. That being said, this is an amazing cover.
Patricia Garcia lennon may or may not have been the best representation of his own words or beliefs. doesn't make a difference to the meaning of his songs though.
This song is like a fairytale. There is no such thing as living in a world of complete peace and love. I wouldn't want to live in that type of world because it would not be reality. Humans NEED pain and loss in order to understand joy and love.
JATR1X if the writer doesn't believe in his own words, then most people won't. I wasn't commenting if the songs have meaning. I was commenting on how he didn't believe in what he wrote. He was a dirty, contradictional, illusional Hippie.
It's usually blasphemous to cover "Imagine", since everyone does it either too exact or just wrong. But as a dedicated and die-hard Lennon fan, I was impressed with your version.
Just wanted to take a second to compliment your guitar playing! I mean, we all know your voice is absolutely fucking phenomenal but to play the guitar that perfectly while delivering such a great vocal performance is just an alien concept to me. I can only do one decently or the other, whenever I try to play and sing one of them usually goes horribly wrong. I have so much respect for people who can still play an instrument perfectly while singing!
Man, I've watched almost every cover you've made and I must say: You're taste in music is impeccable. Keep doing what you love. Very, very good job sir.
Abdulhak Zine al dine I'm a bit late, but I know. When Metallica's first album came out, a guy said, "Man, these are the ugliest people I have ever seen!" I was talking about Metallica and I brought up Hit the Lights, because it's really their first song, then some girl said, "OMG! I LOVE SELENA GOMEZ TOO!" Please, stop wasting my oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and argon. It's no mystery Metallica is badass live, while this new "music" is like what i pulled out my butt. If I could bring back some dead musicians, there would be a supershow, with Buddy Holly and the Crickets (Buddy), Elvis, Beatles (John, George), Led Zeppelin (John), The Who (Keith, John), and Metallica (Cliff). The world would be a better place if these people lived forever. BTW, not many of the people I listed were not necessarily the most attractive.
John Lennon had it so right here in this song. Ideals, thoughts, passion, peace, and most of all love. If only we all could see the vision this man had. If we dreamed the dream he dreamed back in the 70's then this world would be much much different. One day peace will prevail
every noticed how so many amateur singers feel the need to put to much emotion in a song so they can look extra good and deep? This guy owns the song instead of imitating it. That's why he is so good!
I have been coming back to your channel for several years now. I am moved every time I hear your cover of this song. I am not sure what you do, but you seem to inject such magic to every line. You really captured the spirit of this song. Hope you are well. 2023
Austin that rendition of Imagine was so beautiful and unique, I think just the way Lennon wrote it to be felt when heard. Great voice. You made me tear up. Keep doing what you love.
Your voice has helped me rediscover the power of mine. I had two years of vocal training as a kid but I stopped singing sometime in high school. Now, aged 29, I had been trying to find my voice again for the past few months. I tried singing along with you and finally my voice broke thorough and hit the notes I wanted it to hit!! I am so happy that my singing voice is back and will never let go of it again. Thanks a lot for this!!!
This song has been in my head every moment since the attacks.... it describes such a beautiful state of mind & vision. Thank you for sharing this amazing version of it
What a nice voice you have! Almost everyone I have heard sing this sounds like they are straining to reach that high note. (I include John Lennon and myself in this criticism.) But you make it feel smooth and natural. Nice job.
Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people living for today Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people living life in peace, you You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope some day you'll join us And the world will be as one Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope some day you'll join us And the world will be as one
Wow! Well done! It's difficult to believe that Lennon was killed because of this song. What a messed up world we live in. Thanks for making it a little better.
+Joey Cha Yes, Mark Chapman was the fan that killed him. He was Christian, and first started hating Lennon after he heard the verses "Imagine there's no heaven", and "or religion too". Apparently, he saw pictures of Lennon wearing a necklace with a cross, so he felt that John Lennon was a liar or impostor because he sang about a world without religion. Chapman slowly grew obsessed with Lennon after that idea was stuck in his mind and supposedly claimed that Satan told him to carry out the shooting. There are many versions of why he did it, but that one seems to be the most accurate for me. I don't believe that the song "Imagine" was the only reason Chapman killed Lennon, but I do believe it's what started his obsession. I agree that he eventually wanted fame for himself by being the person that killed John Lennon.
What goes around comes around. There is rather convincing evidence that Lennon killed Stu Sutcliffe when they were younger by kicking him in the head with a boot. Fuck John Lennon. He was an adulterer and he had a God complex. And he ruined The Beatles by banging that nasty skank Yoko. This is a good song, though.
