This song reminds me so much of my relationship with my mother. And now that she’s gone I listen, remember and cry my eyes out! I may be 45 years old but without her I feel like a lost little boy!

My son sent this song to me near the end of March. He since has passed away in a tragic accident. I listen to this everyday as it reminds me how much he really loved me, how he knew I loved him, and finally understood I only wanted the best for him. Forever in my heart❤❤❤, my Matthew!

Ok, here's my explanation for the song/video: The song is about how dan(lead singer) fucked up with his parents and as he has grown older, he realizes he'd have nothing without them so he bets his entire life on what they told him because its whats gotten him this far. It's a tribute to his parents to show he's matured. Video: 1st scene (the band chilling by the lake) = looking back on his past. 2nd scene (with 2 guys) = the fight he had with his parents. 3rd scene (the current of the river) = his arrogance dragging him down. 4th scene (wakes up at home) = the values he was taught at home, saves him. 5th scene = manages to get back on track (sail the boat) with his parents advice. 6th scene (coming to waterfall but flies instead) = with parents advice, he avoids the fall and flies instead. 7th scene(everyone cheers for him, but guy pulls him out): the feeling of flying materialized into real success, but his parents advice saves him from getting lost in it. final scene = after realizing he needed his parents more than he thought, he understands now they were trying to save him all along.

After some years when Dane will be immensely famous, I'll be sitting right here, being proud of myself that I was amongst the few people who came here to watch this video because of him, not the actual song. (Which is also a good one for sure.)
