The Posterior segment is not the same as the posterior chamber. Poster segment, refers to the macula and surrounding structures, including the vascular arcades. This is a term used in funduscopy. The posterior chamber is the space between the posterior iris, and the anterior lens capsule. Neither the posterior segment, nor the posterior chamber are visible to any appreciable extent on orbital radiologic imaging.
