I managed to purchase some IMAX motion picture film re-spooled on 120 spools and there are some fine folks in my city provide ECN-2 processing. Gotta try them out in a few days!

Small lenses huge screen

There are only 39 Imaxes left, not 200. For example in Europe only 4. 3 in London and 1 in Prague

Why is this so complicated? Why don't they just play MP4 file?

IMAX 70mm film is the origin of the IMAX flat screen theater, or the OMNIMAX Theater which is the dome screen Theater. The IMAX 70mm film format is still amazing as far as I am concerned. For someone to like the digital projection version better than 70mm film is one thing, but to put down film as a projection medium is terribly wrong. I AM NOT PUTTING DOWN DIGITAL PROJECTION EITHER. I don't agree that film is a worthless medium. Maybe I am incorrect, but digital projection cannot match the beauty, depth, color richness, and last but not least the resolution that the 15/70 film format is capable of. (15/70 means 15 perforations or sprocket holes on 70mm film per picture. Also this film passes through the IMAX projector horizontally.)
