What sucks even more is that the school actually got ahead of it too, it wasn’t like it just came out of no where and the kid snapped. There was every opportunity for the parents to do something about their kid
@@defunctdefunctdefunct probably, but if they really wanted to hurt some people or sh00t up a sch00l specifically, a little suspension or OSS isn't gonna stop them from showing up on school grounds
The media wants so hard to blame video games they omitted the fact that the quote is from J. Robert Oppenheimer, who is the "father of the atomic bomb". Oppenheimer got the quote from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita.
I said this same thing to my boyfriend while watching the video of Dontai reacting to what happened I said son sounds like a damn Harry Potter wizard and then when I saw what he actually looked like I said YUP I STAND CORRECTED
That qoute "Now I have become death, destroyer of worlds" is originally from J. Robert Oppenheimer. Often regarded as the Father of the Atomic Bomb made that infamous impactful qoute. Can't believe somebody managed to make it absolutely hollow and cringe.
Thank you. Also the president had been quoted after a meeting with Oppenheimer "Don't schedule another meeting with that son of a bitch ever again!" apparently he became a saddened man that only thought of how the destruction was his fault and didn't want to continue nuclear weapons testing .... the government said ok.... you.... you've done enough. You can leave. ✌🏿
Ay the fact how realistic and how the robot actually wasn't even scary, makes it a little bit more scarier. I feel like we've passed the point where robot faces are scary.
@@aj3706 ehhh I mean this is just a rubber face with programmed components not all that scary this program has not self thinking that's general intelligence
@@sylentifytv Basically it's all in the looks not the mechanics. The capacity for a human like robot as far as hardware goes is futuristic as hell to me. Probably past my lifetime. What we currently have is the tippity tip of the iceberg, or the infant stage of robot technology in the grand scheme of things.
This is why not everyone should have kids, they need a lot of care to be shaped into a good soul. they don’t know why they are here. not excusing the kid, or his actions. but just as they have check ins with adoptive parents, they need to do it with biological parents too.
Thank you so much for saying this. Most people don't understand that when a kids parent does not notice something is going on with them, especially if they never take the time to take care of them properly. The child will find other means to get rid of their pain, even going as far as hurting others in the process. Of course we cannot excuse his actions but it could have been prevented if it wasn't for the parents basically ignoring his cries for help. I am glad they are taking action against the parents but I wish they realize sooner.
@@whoasked6696 honestly that would be a great idea, if people understood it wasn’t an attack to them as a person or their identity and just a literal safety precaution and helpful knowledge for handling a new kid it could work for sure
That's mad fucked, the fact the school didn't force him out to though puts blame on them. Who ever was dealing with the kid should have searched his bag or sent him home. The school has to be held accountable to, at least the person who dealt with the parents and kid.
Fr bro, imagine how the parents of the kids who died feel, the fact that their child's death could've been prevented. But stupid ass adults didnt take actions to prevent this.😒
Nah the fucked up thing is that they literally can’t do shit about it all they can do is inform the parents and the police but can only have the police come in if the parents don’t come and claim them the system is fucked especially now bc we know the parents were da wanting this shit to happen
“I am become death, destroyer of worlds” is a quote from a Hindu got popularized by Robert Oppenheimer, such a reach to say it came from a video game bruh
complete timeline for those interested ->Nov 26th, Ethan's father James purchases a Sig Sauer handgun with Ethan ->Nov 29th, Ethan caught at school looking up ammunition ->Morning of shooting, paper with depictions of kids being shot and a bullet engraved with 'Blood Everywhere' along with "Help me" found on Ethan's desk ->Still morning of shooting, Ethan's parents as well as the teacher and school officials called into the office to talk about it, parents said that they don't think they need to bring Ethan home, adults pretty much just wave it off. ->Entire time Ethan has the Sig Sauer in his backpack waiting to use it, eventually they let him back into the school. Some time later, Ethan leaves the bathroom and begins shooting the school up. ->Ethan's mom texts him "Ethan don't do it" 30 minutes after the first 911 calls are placed. ->15 minutes later, James reports his Sig Sauer handgun as missing to the police, and that his son could be the shooter. Very annoying how avoidable this was.
The school needs to be charged too. If my kid was hurt at school by a shooter and I found out the school AND the parents had suspicions of who did it and let him go!…. Oh hell no. They’re all going down.
What i find sad is the fact that they saw he was looking for ammunition, knew the parents were being reluctant to do anything, and yet still allowed him to enter the building the next day
Okay, but how were the parents allowed to just leave Ethan at the school after all the bs he wrote down? There were so many ways this tragedy could have been avoided if the school/school district took the necessary precautions for his supposed mental health crisis, and if he had good, knowledgeable parents.
Tbf those notes could point to suicide which is why the school were concerned and got a councellor involved, his backpack should've been checked though! His mum seemed to not care or maybe even encouraged it with how she said 'lol next time don't get caught'. Comes down to the parents not bringing him up correctly
@@JazMegan yes ofc, but I've known ppl who were forced to be sent home for su!c!dal thoughts and actions, if that was the case as well, he should've been forced off of campus. The adults in this situation failed the victims horribly.
As I live about an hour and 20 minutes from the school, this has been on my mind heavy. In an odd way, it's comforting to see you discuss the situation, and feel the same way I do. As this case continues to unravel I'd love to see your continued thoughts. It's unfortunate during these horrible tragedies the media emphasizes coverage of the shooter and their families rather than honor the victims and survivors. However, I will say, it's hard not to find the motives and the timelines intriguing..
Also, your facial expressions when he read the parents' response to hearing about the shooting was pretty much the same. Shock at first, but then pure disappointment in humanity.
How you gonna be a 15 year old 'destroyer of worlds'....gimme that plate cause you really thought you ate that. 🤡 killing people who just came to learn doesn't make him anything but a coward...I hope he drops the soap...
I would assume the parents had no idea he was gonna something so terrible. But they are still guilty. You should never buy a kid a gun, not only that but if you bought a gun you better know where that gun is 24/7
Fact that it took the dad 45 minutes after the school shooting even started to begin looking for the gun and report it as missing man. You can't just let your kid take a handgun wherever he wants bruh
@@donya9550 If that's the case, then they didn't mind their son going to jail, or them potentailly getting charged for their sons actions. they most likely didn't know that this would happen. L parents deserves life time for that line tho ''LOL, make sure not to get caught next time''
No way they said that the "Now i am become death, the destroyer of worlds" was from a game. That quote was used by the guy that created Nukes Robert Oppenheimer. Like bro really now people are going to say that video games are what caused this
All of could of been avoided if the parents were better it all starts at home. YUCK! Omg...I played violent games I never thought yea I want to be a cold bloody killer. It's the parents who neglected him and don't seem to care about that little boy but he gonna be crumpled in jail. We gonna be living like it's Detroit: Become Human forreal in 2038.
It's so sad because school shootings can easily be avoided but no one does shit when the signs are right there. Then when it happens everyone is surprised when a triggered of a series of events are happening.
I remember one class I was in a while ago. We were reviewing something, and everyone was like “ THAT IS SO BAD- WHY IS HITLER LIKE THAT. GERMANY ISN’T SUPERIOR.. blanlablabllab.” In my mind I’m like, “yeah I agree I guess, but why weren’t you like that when other major causes were happening. A lot of other things similar to that happened . There were so many other people/ races who thought they were more superior than the other. But you never responded the same way/ in a similar way.” I know I’m off topic, but I still remember that.
@@smokey2653 except people do say that? Or are you talking about back in the 50s and shit? There were still lots of people who were against slavery in the US at the time
after watching the press conference the school should be held responsible because the had enough cause to force the parents to take him home not only that but they had enough suspicion to have the kid suspended because at the end of the day for every 1 step the parents could've did the school had a right to go 2 steps further to protect the rest of kids especially with them being the prime ones to suspect a school shooting
11:50 J. Robert Oppenheimer is the one who actually said "I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." after he created the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima. fallout only uses it because it relates to their game. they weirdos for that.
exactly. it's fucked up the situation he was in but he chose to fire at children just like him. reality sucks but both him and his parents are horrible human beings
This is a good thing and a bad thing good thing Yes his parents deserve to go to Jail but this might unfortunately mean he will have less jail time due to having someone older to blame reducing his sentence lets hope not tho
I don't think so. I think they're arguing that the parents facilitated him commiting this crime by giving him a gun when knowing his propensity to kill and maim his classmates. They're not taking any responsibility from him. They're saying his parents helped.
Why are they trying to compare and claim that “I am become death” quote that the shooter said was from VIDEO GAMES? It’s so cringe. It’s Oppenheimer's infamous quote. Not based off a game bruh.
Imagine how pissed all those parents of the deceased students must feel that not only were the parents notified about the kid beforehand, but that the parents just didn’t give a fuck the whole time.
As a freshmen in a Michigan highschool the stuff that doesn’t make the news is that my school got completely closed like I missed my first highschool basketball game cause kids are now calling in school threats and the schools HAVE to close
Just to clarify parents buy children guns all the time. I’m only 15 and I have some. This is regular. Even the mom going to the range is normal. The only part that isn’t is that he was looking for ammo in class.
Yeah that’s the worst parenting ever. The only gun someone under 18 needs is a BB gun. Going to a range okay but literally gifting a minor a gun is insane.
depends on where you are in the country but you're 100% right. also think the Dad is dumb af for keeping the gun in an unsecure drawer and not even bothering to look for it until 45 mins after the school shooting happened
Little update the parents got caught after they withdrew 4k from they account , and both are facing 60 years each , for the involuntary manslaughter of the 4 kids killed during the shooting.
Those robots were obvious CGI by the way, at 18:16 look how the pinkie on its right hand clips at the end, and it just looks kinda cg if you study a lot of VFX. This just shows how good CGI has gotten
See what y’all don’t understand is now it’s a lower crime since they added the parents so that school threat will be back in like 15 instead of behind bars forever
bro this happened 2 hours away from my school when i was there and there are so many copy cat threats and one was to my school liberty middle school it was so scary
I live 30 mins away from Oxford and when this happened are school was shocked some teachers even cried then 2 days later a kid from are school threatened the school and we shut down for 2 days the dean was shocked and even cried saying “In my 30 YEARS of working in this school I never thought this would happen Im disappointed”
Dontai... People *do* do that..When people say "they must be black" people do call that out...Its more so funny how both sides do it and get mad when it's done to them.
This all happened like 30 mins away from me and then the next day my school got threatened and then we didn't have school today some crazy shit i tell you.
Hey from what I heard insane asylums or whatever tf they call em can be even worst than prison so he can try that bs like the other kid did and see what happens
I’m Latino living in the us, and I had a white stepmom, and holy shit the freedom they give you as a parent, and met her family.they have no saying in their kids upbringing and think they’re so badass.
That’s crazy my school was right down the street and is currently getting threatened to get shot up next .This is the first time in 50 years something like this has happened to Oakland school district. I haven’t been to school in two weeks pray for me cuh.
This is very off topic but i have good news:) Sp yall im 16 and im in this program where basically instead of doing traditional school by getting credits every nine weeks they give you all of your classes and you complete them through this program called Edmentum. And i am a junior but i have a chance to graduate early and basically i have 10 classes altogether and if i complete them all by June next year i would walk with the seniors and graduate a year early.I have been here since August and i only have one class left .And also they great thing is once you finish all your classes then your done with school .I mean like if i finished in January then i would just stay home until August bc u have no classes left so yeah im happy 😃
it’s sad af to see this happen especially when it was pretty avoidable. This is mostly the parent’s fault for being bad parents and not taking away the gun when he clearly showed signs of some sort of mental illness or instability. RIP to everyone who lost their lives.
he looks like a bootleg bam margera. i'd feel bad for him if he didn't do what he did. he looked like he used to be a good kid too. his parents did fail him, and they're cowards for hiding. and yeah they keep throwing video games into this. on a lighter note, i'm glad homie got his ring back. lol and irobot and detroit become human are about what and what.
There's nothing wrong with looking up guns. In middle school I made scribble drawings of them because I thought they were cool and watched tons of videos from hikock45 and demolition ranch. Hell, I still watch guntuber videos. But actually making ammos purchases or acting like tomorrow is the day I do it is something I've never done. Most people, even weird ones like me, have lines you don't cross, even for jokes
