I always could hear that Doja Cat is a top tier rapper, just by the way she flows/sounds on tracks and her choice of words/lyricism is unique. Her performance here is top notch imo.
Idk why it was lost on people that Doja could rap. Even those little pop verses she would do were technically in the craziest pockets. People lean so heavily on subject matter that they lose sight of the actual skill of putting words together in a clever way.
Tbh Doja made the song better for me. I don't like the original, so I think Doja was the best addition to spice it up. So excited for what she has in store for us next 🔥
