Ik not everyone is a christian but what I hate about my religion is some love to bash people, although in our word(The Bible) it tells us to love everyone no matter the sin, even if you come across a satanist or a gay person you still treat them with respect but some people don’t know that. And those are the people that bash him, same people are the ones to get the clout instead of an actual Christian
i was 10000% fine with billie eilishes video and i remember she got tons of backlash. i think lil nas is tweakin here and he needs to t up and the backlash is deserved
@@saul40 it’s the shoes bruh😂 the shoes overdid it. I really liked the song and video. The song is hella good and the video is creative but the shoes were just to much😂 that’s where most of the backlash is coming from
I'm straight and I'm not freaking out one bit the music itself is fire, and the video may be a bit weird, but hey lots of other artist do the same shit, but lil nas is expressing something that is true to himself and mad respect for that.
Context people don’t have: Lil Nas X’s dad was a gospel singer, he grew up christian. and as he grew up his dad always told him being gay wasn’t okay. He felt outlawed, black and gay in a church, he didn’t know what to feel or what to do. This song is him reflecting on that, not necessarily embracing satanism.
@Anime Girl What do you mean? You saying if a gay dude says he is gay and does not hide that means he is making his whole personality and existence about being gay? What? Then straight people that go on a date , get married also making their personalities and whole life about being straight.
@@dominicgunderson im sure he hates the act not the person. just like how u hate the act of being straight, but u dont hate the straight person. make sense?
I am happy that Dontai is the man that he is able to form well-thought-out opinions that aren't based off of religion or anything like that unlike some people. Also hes not a hater is true to his own feelings
Dontai isn’t religious btw, also im a christian and i love god a lot, being gay might be sin, but hating him because of him being gay is not right, god wants us to love, care and never judge in the wrong way, telling a person they are going to hell is not the way of god, if i go and kill the whole population of the earth god will still love me because he loves you no matter what you do, so the people saying he is going to hell for being gay are not real christians and that is what people need to understand, people outside of christianity think all christians say he is going to hell but no thats not true, god will forgive you if i just all of a sudden turn gay god would still love me but he would hate that i am gay but he wouldn’t hate me, he would still love me and yall dont understand that. people telling lil nas x he is going to hell probably drove him away from wanting to be christian, if ever wanted to be, so i dont like who ever told him that he is going to hell, and it makes me sad that dontai isn’t religious because he would have an little different response to this. he would still have the same idea but he would have explained it differently, but i hope some day dontai accepts God because then he will see the truth and he will go to heaven, i really dont want him to go to hell. literally the only thing you can do to go to hell is to not accept jesus, because then he wont know you and you would send yourself to hell. because you wont have a relationship with god, because he doesn’t let absolute strangers who never even talked to him before into his home.
@@imlostandneedanswers1310 Not to mention, Tai told Lil Nas X to keep talking his sh*t and let them know who he really is... *Then here comes MONTERO...*
I think this video is him describing himself and the struggles of coming out. Everyone was mad and banishes him, calling him abnormal. And him embracing hes gay. Official Tatum gives a really good video on it
@@nobodybeatingmuigokuhesolo8660 lol it's not so much the devil, it's what the devil means in this context. It's supposed to represent his sexuality, him lap dancing the devil is him accepting himself, taking the horns and crowning himself his own authority of his sexuality
Dontai was spittin fax.I’m a Christian. I personally don’t agree with what Lil Nas X got going on rn but some Christians are too judgemental. I’m not gonna go tell this man he going to Hell or nun of that. I just live my life and focus on my rs with God that’s all
You’re right change should be out of love but sin shouldn’t be accepted and embraced we’re nobody to judge but that doesn’t mean that sin is righteous it doesn’t mean we should get these things twisted and just because some Christians are really hateful and judgemental doesn’t mean all of them are
ikr sum are way to judgemental I’m Christian to and just mind my own business. Of course I don’t agree with all these satanic shit but yh I don’t like go tell gays that they go to hell. I mean in the end it’s there choice
Everyone is him in the music video, montero is his real name, saying welcome to himself, being himself, all the emotions of his life, and “this is what my life was like”. This video is a masterpiece..👀
I’m Christian and it annoys me that other Christians try to say that he’s going to hell. Only God can judge and decide where you’re going. It just sucks that since that happened, he embraces going to hell w/o tryna understand God himself
I love how they be like “I don’t like lil nas x bc he is a devil worshiper he’s going to hell” but turn around and listen to other rappers that rap about killing but somehow they not going to hell??
@@spinback2790 sure? Unless you are actually out here killing people, but Lil Nas X isnt ACTUALLY a satanist either; its like a metaphorical representation of how he feels and its just music.
@@kanyewest7391 I did watch the video,it looks like a man giving a lap dance to the devil,I can’t believe y’all can stand up for someone that does that for views
Honestly for me the video was a bit weird but i don’t judge him or anything yk its his video and its his sexuality all im saying is dont judge yall. oh and in my opinion the song was fire asf
Song was fire but video was weird as shit, made me hella uncomfortable ngl but I mean u do u ig. The shoes were kinda too far imo, I'm muslim and if there was a verse of the quran on a shoe which represents devil shit I'd be offended asf so I understand why ppl got mad over that, w the video like just don't watch ykwim
What I heard was, Nas met a dude last summer and some “things” happened ya know . Basically he was fighting temptation about being a homosexual. Then it gets to the point of everyone in church saying “oh you’re going to hell” and whatever. The court represents people judging him. And now he gets exiled out of heaven going to hell and he’s showing people that he actually went to hell , he doesn’t care he’ll still be who he is that’s why he was dancing on the devil and dressed the way he was. IM NOT saying this is accurate, it’s just what I heard. But I love Lil Nas this is a banger. Although the dancing on the devil thing had me shook LMFAO
bro dontai said everything that needed to be said i was so pissed when people started coming after him i was like ugghhhh let him live bro lgbtq+ pride stand up, thank you dontai...thank you
The world would be 10x if everyone just tried to fix themselves instead of worrying about everyone else. Read ya bible, talk to God and stop trying to please the world.🤦🏽♀️
Bro I subbed as soon as you understood that the music video was just symbolism of the people around him saying that he's going to hell and stuff. Thank you for explaining that people are the problem!
Bruh you’re extremely entertaining to watch, this was easily the most fun reaction that wasn’t about homophobic shock, just like, holy shit, this is amazing, W after W!
Yeah I 100% understand where dontais coming from. Us christians need to stop judging people and pray from them instead. We all should stay strong in our beliefs and love others. I hope he is blessed and stays strong. Also glad your back Dontai God Bless🙏
Exactly, like the saying I hear from most people: don’t judge a book by it’s cover, but people don’t listen on the internet and cause trouble on the internet and in real life
They are pressed and shook to their core more about the fact that he was sexy and being sexual. Being himself. And the song and video is fire. I’m here for it !!!!
" If you believe in what you believe in, there should be no crack in it no matter what. Your beleif should be strong as fuck." Facts homie, Dontai spittin bro.
Bro you the only one out of all the reaction videos I’ve been watching that actually found the meaning to the video instead of jumping in the “He’s a satanist” bandwagon. Much respect 💯
@@powangel1418 facts it’s not that this shit shouldn’t bother me it just sucks where hip hop and music is today also it doesn’t matter if you follow pages or not you’re gonna see this bull shit everywhere
@@MrDweeny I can't think of a rapper that hasn't at least said something that could inadvertently hurt someone,, including homophobia, racism, transphobic, something against disabled people or people with mental health issues, homophobia is way more harmful than this video and has contributed to countless suicides, and is the direct influence to this video as it's a response to homophobia. If this makes you mad, then you need bigger problems
bro as a christian the ones saying he's going to hell for being gay they would be going to hell aswell for being condemning him for being a sinner because everybody was a sinner at one point if that was the logic.you only make it to heaven by believing in God, having a relationship with Jesus Christ, and repenting of you sins.
@@Dan-rz9zn doesn’t matter your not one to judge others only god judges one doesn’t matter if a guy is gay god loves all his people but in the bible it says one must not were the opposite sex clothes as far as i know
@@roji3910 you ain even have to do allat fiction book stuff I’m just tryna inform and discuss fr but God nor Jesus condemns the only judging comes when you die if you choose his side or the other side
If a lot of judgements Christians would be quiet and actually think before they spoke and spread hate. They would know that God says to love everyone, they make younger Christians look bad when we just be chilling and spreading love. Anyways I don’t care if he’s Gay or not, it’s a weird ass video but at the end of the day it’s a pretty good song and whatever he chooses to do with his life is his business bro. Lot of Christians gotta just mind their business 💕
What your saying isn’t wrong but that’s not what Christians do, we tell others what’s wrong according to the bible and they should change their ways accordingly. And as soft as this generation is, not saying you are even yo mama jokes can get a celebrity canceled and then Christians trying to help even though people dont see it as help they just say it’s hate and being judgemental/offensive
@@adamfasil1902 there's a difference between helping and judging. Helping is showing people that no matter the person or the problems, God still loves you. Judging is what people are doing saying he's going to hell for being gay. You saying "but that's not what Christians do" just isn't right because we don't save people by showing them God....God does.
@@adamfasil1902 how you gonna say this generation soft when we’re legit the ones getting killed for protesting and being flamed as “snowflakes” for wanting all people to be treated fairly? It’s old white people that believe in god who are soft.
Christians who tell people their going to hell don’t practice what they preach. The Bible literally says to not judge people. And also telling people they are going to hell for doing things has never and will never work.
@Lee Butler why don’t you help the people who wear mixed fabric. Or why don’t you help people who eat shell fish. Both are sins in the Old Testament but for some reason they aren’t harped on. 🤔
