No. 1 ranked IMG Academy traveled to Tennessee to take on one of the top teams in the state - Ravenwood. IMG's defense made its presence known with DT. Dominick James (No. 263 in ESPN Junior 300) and DT Anthony Hundley (LSU commit) while JJ McCarthy (Michigan commit) goes under center for the Ascenders. The offensive line gave the Wolverine commit help in OT JC Latham (Alabama commit) and Tyler Booker (No. 18 in ESPN Junior 300).
Ravenwood (TN) was lead by the No. 70 player in the ESPN 300 TE Jake Briningstool, Junior Colson (Michigan commit) and 3 star CB Myles Pollard.

Just because you pull a lot of great players doesn't mean you can get them to play as a cohesive team. Lesser players with chemistry can beat superior talent. Don't think it's just about talent. That insults the hard work those guys put in.

I have a couple a friends that were there, and they knew what was bouta go down. It’s honestly a totally unfair match. Ravenwood just plays some local schools like page, independence, Brentwood, etc... but IMG literally plays the best teams in the nation with 6+ D1 commits.

Most people don’t know that Ravenwood has consistently been in the state semifinals, if not the finals, for like 5+ years now. If it wasn’t for Maryville, Whitehaven, or Oakland they would be dominant. IMG is just unfair with the amount of talent they have.

IMG got robbed 1st qtr when #54 ran on 4th down his forward progress was more than a yard pass the first down marker refs marked it 2 yards less. I'm no IMG UNIVERSITY fan because they recruit in my opinion like a college team getting players from across the country. But being fair is fair.

lorenzo world I’m in no way a fan of IMG but I saw a lot of hate towards them for starting off slow. They aren’t in anyway the best team out there but it’s always been proven the best teams make adjustments in the 2nd half. Including Those teams wasn’t a knock on any of those teams either
