Since you asked I had to look up if Ben Nye was a real person or not and he was in fact the namesake of his brand. Now all I can think about is that it would have been amazing if he had been around today and marketed himself as Ben Nye the Makeup Guy (he died in 1986 before Bill Nye was really big though). Damn you mortality.
