When I was an 18 year old obsessed with Alexis P Bevels I drove four hours round trip through a blizzard to see her perform one number in Milwaukee. It was technically a Ginger Minj show and she yelled at us from the mic for being late, but it was fine because we still made it in time to see Alexis go on. We almost died on the way home after spinning out in ice on the highway and the crash fucked up my moms car. Now I’m a 24 year old obsessed with Alexis and I can confidently say I still think it was worth it.
Fun fact! They don’t just change the name of the prompt when they film, they sometimes send contestants different prompts from each other to get a more varied range/slip them up.

As an ecologist and someone with a BS in wildlife biology I feel comfortable telling Alexis to NEVER USE THAT PHRASE TO IDENTIFY A SNAKE. Snakes can have patterns that differ and it’s very easy to misremember. Don’t rely on it to determine safety, you’re best bet for safety is to give all snakes space and view from afar. There are proper ways to identify coral snakes from other snakes but they are not by color pattern. Stay safe Alexis and don’t give advice on snake identification ❤
Past queens have implied that, even for the same runway, different prompts were given to different queens (I'm sorry I can't recall the queens who said it, it might have been for an international version). That's why sometimes there will be 2-3 outfits that look completely inappropriate for the prompt. Production did it just to add the possibility of a storyline. I wish a contestant would publish a list of the prompts they were given for the whole season. 🖤
My theory for Heidi’s looks is that she was applying the prompt but to toys. Famous then, meaning prior to Barbie, were these porcelain delicate dolls. Then, famous now, she did a pink and fluffy look that somewhat reminisced Barbie. And then the beauty forever didn’t connect but to be fair none of the beauty forever looks did since it’s just like be pretty

funny story - about 3 weeks after I had a portion of my L4-L5 disc removed - I slipped in spilled salsa at a Mexican restaurant and landed right on my tailbone - i couldn't move for about 20 minutes. I wish people would retire the saying "age appropriate". It's ageist and misogynist. That saying doesn't even exist for men. If you're still alive and you feel good in it, it is appropriate for your age. You don't have to limit yourself just because you're older or bigger. Look at Ru. He's 62 and he shows leg, cleavage, shoulders. But you don't have to be skinny to show those things. Do you! And, by doing so, give other people permission to do them too.
It just occurred to me - Kasha's fist challenge in BOTH seasons of drag race she's been on was a ball/multi-runway. She's had to do so many looks on day one of filming!
I think I may have appreciated RuPaul's _Architectural Digest_ spread and video tour more had I not been so assured that with the exception of Raven, it's highly unlikely there will ever be another contestant from _Drag Race_ invited into that mansion.

Thank you for picking up the stuff the other person spilled. I want to mention that we never know what other people are going through. For example, I have a spinal problem and I can't bend over very well. The way you described the man stopping and staring would probably be me, trying to determine whether I could get down to clean that up or not. At the very least, I would go tell a staff person (which he should have done) but we can't always know people's situations so as Kasha says let's try to be kinder.
