If you're trying to do wig math - if Lux's wig is 40 inches, then she must be 90 inches tall based off where it falls on her. Which would make her 7 foot 6. Which she is not.
I have a theory about the twins. I think that, because they look so good in drag, they do look good out of drag, they're young and popular, people just assume they're arrogant, delusional etc. People expect them to have a Regina George attitude. But in reality they're just two kids that were raised indoors, never got to play with any kids other than themselves and they just got to be really good at something that they got interested in. And they're happy to finally be able to share that interest with people that also do the same. But the act is a little cringy, they gotta polish that.
Totally agreed on this assessment. People are so quick to write of social media queens, especially ones seemingly as privileged (white, young, popular, good looking) that they're bad or lazy or whatever else. Yes they may be a little ditzy but part of that is an act and it doesn't mean they're bad people or bad at drag.
Whilst I think this assessment is really sweet and generous , I think it’s a little messy to equate looking nice with ‘being really good at something’ Their makeup isn’t particularly refined or skilful, sugars looked crazy particularly the entrance, she’s just nice looking underneath so hides it well.

This is very good observation tbh, and I think Darby/Alexis were correct in calling it a bit of jealousy too. We've all seen this play out on a smaller scale in prior seasons but the twins are pushing it HARD. The twins are not responsible for your reaction to them existing!!

My favorite behind-the-scenes tea about the premiere is that Salina EsTitties and Ariana had to essentially act like they didn’t know each other. This lowkey probably why they didn’t include Salina in Group 1. You can kinda see it peak through in Untucked when you see Ariana just sitting and simply just holding Salina’s fingers. Also, finding out that Luxx Noir London and Robin Fierce are both Mo Heart’s drag daughters threw me too (wonder if we’ll see them mention it on the show). And THEN finding out that Black Peppa is too?!? Mo Heart got kids all over the WORLD!

I loved Anetra's talent. It.couldve been one of the best and funniest talents ever done. But I've been TeamSasha for the last 6 years. I gotta stick with my body queen Sasha Colby. But Anetra wasn't even on my radar at first and if not Sasha Colby I totally hope Anetra takes it.

I don't think Sugar and Spice were meant to be in the bottom or go home this episode tbh. Drag Race loves a misdirect, so having all the shade towards them being young and inexperienced, then them doing well and being safe made total sense imo. I already feel like we're gonna get some more moments from them, like one will be in the top and one will be in the bottom, with them both getting critiques about being more individual. Also the twin lipsync is 100% going to happen at some point lol

I would say, the producers do ask for a video so they probably send in their talent show performance and the producers were like “just do that again for the talent show episode” or “you can’t do that for the talent show so find something else in 2 weeks”

The Real Friends of Weho premiere on 01/20 is going to have such a HUGE viewership drop as soon as the Drag Race episode ends. They were so RUDE to place it between the show and Untucked. They really think we won’t just turn the TV off or change the channel and come back when Untucked comes back on. I’m hoping they cancel it expeditiously.

Alexis is absolutely right about production and the twins. They're banking on an evolving narrative that not only legitimizes their drag to the other girls but also makes the audience fall in love with them.... only to then bamboozle us with a sudden twin sister face-off. whether they'll only last til mid season or go beyond is anyone's guess. But the Dolls were booked with the intention of keeping them in the race a while furthermore, production was totally privy to everyone's act (considering the use of licensed music, props, sets and pitcrew boys respective of each queen's act). so I think production was fully aware of what the twins were capable of. And if infact they bombed, the show's HOST AND EP, RU PAUL, could justify a safe placement with a reaction that suggests they did better than they really did. Not that Ru even has to perform real time reactions according to storyboard agendas, as editors know no bounds when it comes to including facial reactions that confirm narrative goals, regardless of it's relation to reality. Pretty much Ru don't even have to emote anymore, production could just AI a reaction and add a little rattle snake shade noise in order to push the story forward. It's the same way Irene's performance WAS funny. Even editing threw her a funny bone when splicing in Loosey attentively cranking her neck to take notes like she was in college studying rocket science. That was hilarious. But of course the rest of the performance was chopped and screwed into this awkward presentation chock full of awkward silences, shady confessionals and mean mugging reactions from the queens . ANYWAY RIGGORY AS ALWAYS is afoot on drag race. And keeping a Aura instead of Irene is proof of that.

my first thought of the twins was that they were getting the underdog edit. it feels like usually when more seasoned queens talk about how other queens are young/inexperienced they get sent home while the younger queens make it to top 3
Have watched IMHO for a few seasons (of US Drag Race and All Stars) and, such a fan, and not just because you validate my (correct) opinions (Sasha is ITTTT, Yassss Ms Anetra, Estitties outfit is AhMayZing, Mistress is giving! And the cap was a choice). You two are so gorgeous, hilarious, and petty. Love all the references, one-liners and stories ❤
