Another Illumination show, this time at Lincoln Castle. The tickets were sold out, but when we arrived, to our amazement, there were no people there.
You will be able to enjoy the castle grounds bejewelled with festive lights and illuminated Christmas features, take a trip down Candy Cane Lane, and give your warmest season’s greetings to our resident castle dragons - Lucy and Norman.
We are really sorry to say that our wall walk lift is currently out of action. It doesn’t like the cold and has gone into hibernation. This means that access to the wall walk is via the spiral staircase only.
The castle has retained its popular Illuminated Wall Walk so visitors can see this historical landmark in a sparkling, festive light and take in the beautiful night-time views across the city and county. Then it's all aboard our ‘Mini Polar Express’ before enjoying other traditional fairground rides beloved by young and old.
As no Christmas event is complete without festive food, local vendors will be offering sweet treats and winter warmers, including hot chocolate and mulled wine.
