How to immersion dye fabric (or yarn) using ProChem MX Dyes. These dyes will work on cotton, linen, rayon, and silk. All of the materials needed can be found in our dye kitchen! Let us know if you have any questions.

Does the temperature of the water matter? I'm used to tie dyeing where it either needs to sit for 24 hours or I do a hot Soda Ash pour over to set the dye. If the fabric only has contact with the dye for an hour or so, is heat required to set it?
