This is my review of Immortal, the Norwegian black metal band! All copywrite found within belongs to its respective owners, although the video itself is mine. Facebook: christianmcguirereviews
I have to disagree with your review of Sons of Northern Darkness. I think that one is banger top to bottom, pretty much. Plus the kickass breakdown section near the end of In My Kingdom Cold? C'MON! That's epic and heavy AF. I know...OPINIONS. but i feel this album deserves better
Really enjoying your videos, I don't always agree with your opinions but I like that as it gives me a different perspective, and I also like that you don't shy away from your opinions either even if they sometimes can be unpopular. You deserve way more views and followers 👍
Too harsh on the weaker albums but we have the same favourites. Sons of Northern Darkness is great but glad to see someone not dismiss All Shall Fall and I completely agree on Northern Chaos Gods.Pls make more of these I need a non cringe Razorfist The main problem with Battles in the North is the production. However if I listen to the album on headphones I can hear the melodies and it becomes a great album, like PH but becoming more complex. Shame it’s buried under the drums
I always find a link between Blizzard Beasts and Damned In Black, they are kind of similar in some drumming elements and riffing. I think it's often overlooked because being released after an acclaimed album (At The Heart Of Winter) and people tendency is to compare. Cheers to all Immortal fans out there!
It’s fun that you took the time to make this video! I agree with a good chunk of this review, but brother, you GOT to get into sons of Northern darkness more. I know this is all just opinions but 5/10 is WAY off haha! Pure Holocaust, Sons of Northern Darkness, & At the Heart of Winter are constantly rotating as my favorite albums. I need to check into Northern Chaos Gods more myself... thanks again and take care my man! 🤘🏼
Nice job. I have a question. there is a sound on Northern Chaos Gods that sounds like horns or trumpets that really take me out of it. I haven't heard any reviewer discuss this. What is this? What am I hearing? To me it sounds really different from the other Immortal albums. Thanks again. This was well done.
The cosmopolitic America will never understand black-metal, a pure european form of music. Immortal died after Blizzard Beast and of course, « Battles » is their masterpiece.
