Immortal Journey Soraka vs Dawnbringer Soraka Legendary Skins Comparison (League of Legends)

Dawnbringer Soraka's ult alone wins this for me. Look at that big Soraka image when she ults. So badass.

Immortal journey has more detailed and contrasting VFX, Dawnbringer's VFX are smoother and have more impact. I like the latter a lot better, it looks way more polished and less messy in my eyes, but that's where subjectivity comes into play :)

I already have Dawn Bringer, I don't need another legendary for her 😢 If this was a legendary for Orianna, Syndra, Zyra, literally anyone else, would've bought.

I dislike how no one is talking about the fact that both skin's animations are so similar it confused a vast mayority of players, like sure the animations are different but theyre still close enough to the point that they look almost identical. We shouldnt normalize Riot's vague animation work, they could have done so many different things for her. Give her a more 'majestish' walk or a unicorn in her homeguard, make her do a little twirl when using Q while walking or make her ult animation more dramatic. There are so many ideas, and if someone can fulfill them all its Riot's staff. But instead they did a cookie cutter animation base for Soraka, lame honestly.

Immortal Journey also has a different animation when running to low-health allies. She flies! Anyway, point is, it's a very big and noticeable change, and it's also one that's very easy to notice in game. IJ has similar QWE animations, with only slight differences that could be hard to notice in a game. But at least the big changes (in Ult and passive MS animations) are ones that are very easy to see in game.

Ofc the new one wins in terms of affects but if the older one got a refresh for her ability affects it could easily clear the new one

Dawnbringer has much cuter animations when placed side by side. I always thought of it as a very elegant skin but Immortal journey feels so smooth and regal.

Dawnbringer still the best Soraka skin. I’m tempted to get this one for chromas to mix things up every once in awhile though.

Beautiful, animations are not 100% the same but still similar. It's a good skin anyway, I'm mostly disappointed in the splash art.

Soraka has the best skins out of any other support. Dawn bringer is one of the few skins that actually appear close the splash arts. The animations and her model are amazing. The other skin is ok, i like the color combinations of gold and blue. Eitherway there is no negative with Soraka having good skins. I really hope Nami will get her own legendary, or even better a ultimate skin one day.

I only play her on night or dawn bringer skin because her animation and sfx feel more fluid and smoother while playing. So I don't have problem at all with her new legendary has similar animation.

Why both have ( almost ) the same animation ? I see no significant different animation between IJ Soraka and Db/Nb Soraka

dawnbringer's overall effect is angelic and clean, while immortal journey's is more... natural(?) with waters & petals. its like comparing clouds to flowers: you cant really equate the two. both have different (but still beautiful and elegant) vibes and so i like them both for different reasons, as listed: dawnbringer - more dynamic animations - changes colours in Q rejuvenation - has gorgeous wing themes (in homeguard & ult) - has a pretty dance and BANANA joke emote immortal journey - w heal vfx last longer, more distinct - plays the erhu in her dance (it is... so pretty) - has a qilin, especially prevalent in the use of E because dawnbringer E is just a plate of colour - flower petals instead of just sparkles make it more visually interesting besides "ooh pretty colour" - has chromas so i can try out different color palettes within the same animation/vfx set

I hate that i'm getting this skin because I feel like I'll eventually like it more than dawnbringer/nightbringer... but here we are...

The only thing superior about Dawnbringer is the aa twirl animation. Dawn- and Nightbringer is an extremely generic good vs evil high fantasy thematic with nothing interesting going on. Having high interest in mythology, seeing Soraka getting a Qilin companion is really cool. I also like how they've made Immortal Journey Soraka beautiful without oversexualising her, compared to the Dawnbringer one.

This new skin is gorgeous, and I cannot wait to get it! 🥰💕For people who've been saying they are similar, they're really not. This video helps prove that! I understand the AA is very identical, but every other ability has way more detailing and visual effects. Even model movements are different. I'm not sure what people are seeing or expecting to be different? At the end of the day, it is still Soraka so there has to be some identifiable detailing that shows enemy players the visual cue, that we all know, of when her E pops for example or when she got healing for her Q. I definitely think this skins' quality is higher than Dawn/Nightbringer, but they are equally gorgeous skins worth having! 💖 I'll always shuffle through her skins and come back to either of them.☺

Dawn/Nightbringer Soraka basically has two form. When they hit someone with their Q, they change. This new one doesn’t do. Any of that

I honestly love both, tho neither try to reinvent soraka's concept both reinforce different aspects of her, the new one makes her way more elegant while dawnbringer makes her more divine, i dont really like nightbringer because it tries to reinvent her and fails awfully
