16 years... Is that how long I have been watching this video? Where did the years go? And has anything changed? Hope the dude who uploaded this is still doing well and creating his art because it's amazing
The art work symbolizes a struggle and a rivalry between two of the same kind, like two brothers caught in a vicious cycle in order to survive but also in order to obtain a higher degree of power. Ultimately it represents how that cost comes at the expense of losing a stable, peaceful society. - Artist
"So I work hard until my personality split Like the black panthers, into the bloods and the crips They said I would never be shit, but now I sit and reminisce Like Yeshua Ben Yosef flippin through Genesis Ignorance is venemous, and it murders the soul Spreading like a virus running rampant, but out of control So if I should ever fall and get caught in a hustle Let them know that I died while I fought in a struggle"
Even Though we survived through the struggle that made us, we still look at ourselfs through the eyes of people that hate us. ----- Damn Immortal Technique is to much...
This song is just TOO TOO fuckin DEEP!!! The lyrics, the flow, the delivery, the woman's vocals on the hook and the outro at the end, the way that beautiful flute just comes in at the perfect time and times after.... The guitar which makes the beat.....fuckin hell! Truly a masterclass from whoever it was that produced this GOLD and the lyrical genius which is Immortal Technique. Dance with the Devil is unbelievably moving and powerful but honestly I don't think I've heard a song about LIFE as powerful as this...EVERYTIME I listen to this it's as if I'm listening to it for the first time again because I'm still after countless times of hearing these powerful lyrics amazed at just how much he bodied this shit! Truly Legendary.
Al Simmons Dude most people who make it coming out of new York got fucking clever as talent and he had dope ass beats and literally this song is perfectly set up like most of the music he made had the vibes just amazingly on point and so damn inspiring it was definitely the push in the right direction if only he would have been more popular and the dude worked hard all of his songs are dope!
I dont know how long ive known this song for, but its never gotten old. Even the first time i heard it when i was a bit younger and less aware of what rap actually is. I knew this could be the best songs ive ever heard. Years later, it could still well be the best rap song ive heard IMO.
quizr definitely, coming back to a whole new meaning and understanding helps you realize how much you actually grow. Finding more consciousness as you go along.
There's always a "omg best song ever" and stuff... but legit, with this song, I agree. This song is on another level even for tech himself... which says A LOT.
Question- you noticed a lyric most of us don't notice. Any idea what "al oxa" is? You can't find it online anymore but with different spellings, one is a name of a temple and the other was a chemical tested in mind control some decades ago. I have no idea if that's what he was talking about, any ideas? Google searches have gotten pretty generic over the last 15 years and don't show these results anymore.
@@KK-gg9hx the mind control chemical is probably what he's talking about. Thats no coincidence that something he mentions is a mind control chemical. Even the temple, he knows people dont know & will look it up and will find both thing in attempts to spell it. Or idk.
Immortal Technique truly is an inspirational Artist/Revolutionist, Other Hip Hop Artist could really learn a thing or two, maybe then they could change the direction of where Hip Hop is today.
"spray painted in the street and the subway tunnels" Those words touch me as a graffiti artist. I been listening to this song for years and it never gets old. Thats real music for you
i love immortal technique but i kinda blame his music for my growing depression....he speaks the truth - he dives into your heart and swims around in your soul. I guess the truth is way to harsh for me. Long live Immortal technique.
I belive every single word goes over our heads."its like were bound to the destony we used to recive" like what does that mean. We can understand the the hardest stuff to accept and grasp stuff but the simple stuff people are just lost. I mean I bet most people don't even understand why peps are crying. all Im all about that
@@kielreid7796 So not so much the words, but in the order they were delivered. So let's be blind this whole time and hurt ourselves by believing this is an anomaly of sorts and the hood can't capture what is said. I don't know who's eyes people see themselves with, but when it comes to people, my own eyes see just mean, pompous bathing monkeys with a sanctimonious complex. Did the words go over everyone's head? Or was the OP another anomaly and while he understood it doesn't mean the rest did? These lyrics are crazy deep no question, but as long as a culture oppressed is sold on iTunes, hijacked and manipulated for profit, so you get an Immortal Technique, who basically turned the guns right back at the industry break through all the bs, Immortal Technique has a great talent in promoting and marketing himself, so instead of giving the business aspect entirely to a corporation or label, he controlled his assets and what he could say, so that's the anomaly, the business aspect. But you see rappers getting signed and exploited, we need more independent artists like this reach his notoriety, the very gritty roots of the culture is exploited thru monetary gain, like a selling of the soul, what you would do? Would you or I work as hard to own the art and business? Or would we just sell it and get paid? The latter is the more lucrative so unfortunately one Immortal Technique can eat hundreds of thousands and spit out the chain but has to point the guns not just the industries, but then the major labels and corporations that have the money for marketing to knock out anyone's lights. So imagine how many people have actually had the opportunity to listen to his lyrics or this track to actually have it go over their heads?
Another meaningful and powerful song by immortal technique the artwork is awesome as well, check out my channel if you like new artist trying to spread good Hiphop thanks. Peace, One love
"Because even though we survived through the struggle that made us. We still look at ourselves through the eyes of people that hate us" This song hits deep because of how real it is
This is such a deep track man it's criminal how music like this doesn't get the accolades and respect it deserves yeah people know who mortal technique is and he's got a cult following but still this kind of music is the kind of should be getting pushed on to the youth not this brain numbing s*** with no message at all.
@Cropper2085 He ain't God-Like, he just talented and got a real gift from God. He's just a man, however, he has a immaculate gift which he uses to spread good. He ain't like most of the main-stream rappers, he spits the truth, which hurts a lot of corporate politicians and others.
@VALLESIDE818 listen to this song everyday, it will help you as it helped me. It brings my spirits up every time i listen to it. Not misunderstood, just aware of what most ppl arent aware of. Those that are not blinded by the illusions placed before us are looked at as different. Dont sweat it, your light will soon shine just as mines is starting to, just dont look at yourself through the eyes of others. Stay strong and true to what you believe in, eventually the right ppl will enter your life
"...So if the solution has never been to look inside of yourself how do you expect to find it anywhere else?" -immortal technique These words are synonymous to any great sayings; from Marcus Aurelius's meditations 2,000 years ago to Ghandi and so on and so forth. These words are so powerful in that the truth behind them is always constant, never wavering, always meaningful, always true. Marcus Aurelius said," Our lives are what our thoughts make it." - We define ourselves by the energies and emotions inside ourselves. You can choose for yourself how you wish to see the world and how you live your life no matter the adversities that were predisposed upon you. And i believe immortal technique is saying something very similar to this. I love it.
@wrarmatei Something worth thinking about; if you have any sort of obligation other than yourself, ei children, debt, dependant family members etc, it's damn hard to do anything other than work to meet those obligations and keep yourself alive let alone go and contribute to change, especially since there's enormous wage/salary inequality between young people and old doing the same job. Everything, including taking a day off to go and do some charity work, has a cost which not everyone can afford
@revolutionoctave Tech' is underrated because he's underground, and that's the way he wants it. He doesn't want to be known or world famous or have a rating about or from the 'people' (His People.. OUR people) as a whole.. He's just a man with a message that just NEEDS to be heard, not necessarily 'rated' all around. My .02 cents
i love this song, and the picture is fantastic. i would get that as a tattoo, and i don't eve like the idea of tattoos. Immortal Technique and K rino are the greatest rappers who have or ever will live. they put the truth on track, simple and plain.
I never understood "black on black violence" as if that is worse than 'normal' violence, saying black on black violence only furthers the idea that blacks, whites etc. are any different from each other. Violence on anybody is bad, no matter there colour.
that's some deep art man, that would look good as a tattoo on the back or the shoulder, im thinking back. recon you could send me the drawing? im actually considering this as a tattoo. get back asap.. regards
Can someone tell me where I can get this pic? I finally made it out the hood this year and I had been wanting to tat a picture of the struggle I felt making it out. I think this pic symbolizes it perfectly. Where can I find it?
@BeastAP23 i was about to suggest the same thing you dont have to fill all the page with detail, filling space is nothing without leaving space. still very good and if this kid keeps drawing he could be a great artist
Imma have to go with tech.. The messages hit deeper than waynes swag. Truth is no question is a bad one there are only bad answers btw its the motherfucking immortal technique thats his new name
This Drawing has alot of masonic influences. The pyramid formed by the machetes and the double helix formed by the snake, also used for the medicinal sign. and a couple more... Just saying.
Noax knows where it's at. This is the music that'll make your mind open up with new veiws. While kids look at Lil Wayne & think that without Birdman he'd be something.
@acidwaste00 jedi mind tricks and dead prez are sick as fuck! and this is the first time ive ever listend immortal technique im gonna have to download some of this shit
your an excellent rapper your real not just street but real emtionally deep its amazing not amny people are like not alot of people think along those lines I think too much
I love the fact that this kid just used a fucking expo to draw this GOD DAMN IT! It's too fucking sick :D. I love Immortal Technique too. This song is legendary.
Hold up.. this song came out originally in 2002?... n the pandemic came out in what year? The fist in the middle with 2 serpents must mean medical war... mmmmm... now i can see the prophecy !!! We gotta 🙏 pray... cuz this kid said something that only the natives can say... o he's def native 4 sho... much props to immortal
Yo the only way out is God the sooner we as a people can open our eyes to that the sooner we can unite and face this evil that is devouring our people it doesn't matter how "deep" this music is if u don't do anything about it through Gods will.
and its the people that love you that seem to hurt you the most, sometimes when they you find yourself cursing their ghost..... this is godly, insane......one of the best lyrical songs EVER!
I was going to make a song that was talking about how the influence made us feel bad about our emotions and hurting ourselves without knowledge of what we are doing to ourselves but, then I found out he already has made this song. It's fucking pretty much perfect!
thats where you and tech differ, he doesn't think its pointless to make the attempt to educate people, regardless of what they think, if you want to make a better soceity you need to help educate other people, start with the person that knows the least then worry bout the "pseudo-intelligent" people later
