This song never gets old and has played an important role in my life. Used to listen to this as a 15 yr old kid and now I'm a 30 year old grown man. Fav song of all time.
Yeah feel it Ive been listening to this song for years. My best friend was born without a valve in his heart and died at the age of 28 from a heart infection. We would listen to this song every day smoking weed but now it means so much more to me. Been listening to this song sence I was 15 myself now im 28
Yo I was listening to this since I was 14 n I'm 30... I feel ya dawg. I did get caught in the hustle. I never understood what he meant by lost in the bubble
+Mario A black everything right? fuckin idiot. THERES ALSO LATINOS AND PUERTA RICAN AND SOUTH AMERICANS IN GENERAL BEING DISCRIMINATED AGAINST MAYBE EVEN MORE THAN BLACK EXEPT WITHOUT THE PRESS YOU FUCKWIT....
***** he isnt talking about black america. he isnt even black he is from peru. this isnt about race. black america doesnt exist. thats what they want you to think so that we are segregated and easier to controll.
I pray that God gives you the strength to overcome your obstacles. Don't give up my brother its a test. You're on the right track. Love from the UK ❤ keep up the struggle
Back in my early high school days I didn't respect Immortal Technique enough as a rapper. Largely because I wasn't well versed in critical thinking of lyrics. But now that a handful of years have passed I can say with confidence that I understand his music more now. He has my eternal respect.
This song sits on my old classic iPod. Over the years I've been adding songs to a list. This list comprise of songs i could never get tired of. Hiphop needs this kind of message more often.
“And even though we survived through the struggle that made us, we still look at ourselves through the eyes of people that hate us..” ** this line as stuck with me for so many years now!!
"I used to wonder..used to wonder about people who don't believe in they self. Then I seen the way they protrayed us to everyone else, they cursed us, to only believe the worst in ourselves. Blind to the fact the whole time we were only hurting ourselves..." Dude was so damn raw, never sugar coated shit. Straight smacked tf out of us with truth and didn't give af about the repercussions..no wonder he don't write no more...he was to powerful...what happened to hip hop?
This song trulu saved my life as a lost and troubled teenager. It was therapeutic and made me feel like I wasn't alone. Listening to it even today just hits me like a ton of bricks. No words can effectively express my gratitude, but if you ever read this Tech...thank you from the depths of my soul.
Been returning to this song ever since I first heard it at maybe 14, 15 years old. I'm 20 now, studying at university and making my own music. This song keeps me going.
Seen alot of comments saying that they been listening to this song since their teenage years, it's so beautiful that so many people goes back to an amazing song like this. I used to listen to this track when I was around 14,back when I didn't know who I was or how the world worked, immortal technique and hip hop in general has taught me so much. 25 now and a big metalhead, but sometimes when I feel down or lost i come back to one of the best song I've ever listened to. Long live immortal technique!
"because even though we survived through the struggles that made us, we still look at ourselves through the eyes of people that hate us" that line is one of the best i've ever heard in a rap. i'll always love IT
Tech said he wrote this song in just an afternoon in contrast to Dance with the Devil and You Never Know, which both took years. But this is still my favorite, I can't say why.
I can see that it doesn't have a story line I always thought he sort of just wrote this out of his mind quickly it's still one of my favorite songs ever
One of the few songs that brought tears to my eyes when I first heard it. Its that people that love you that seem to hurt you the most, sometimes when they die you find yourself cursing their ghost...
I always listen to this when I'm feeling down and that sigh you can just about hear at the end, love that touch...definitely one of his best songs. Love it!
Immortal technique must be the best rapper in the World, but man that beat everybody could have made a dope song on it, one of the best beats ever, Premier would have been proud
Heard this song when I was 11 years old. A friend serendipitously decided to upload it onto my iPod Nano. I didn’t fully understand the lyrics back then, but they left some sort of lasting impression on me. I’m 27 now and I still come back to this song to play it on repeat for hours on end at least once or twice a year. The message is still profound and the delivery is still unmatched by any lyricist I’ve ever heard.
Wow. Every time I discover another piece of Tech's poetry, I feel like I've wasted so much time just by not listening to it until now. This man is a master at his craft. Period.
I hope you're guys are doing in good in life!! Just know I'll never let hiphop die at least in my family.. I'm only 16 but I hope I get to show my family all these amazing tracks!!
This song has been on repeat for days now! It gives me reasons to fight on! Whoever is listening to this masterpiece, should stay strong daily!!! I hope you find sinews in Immortal tech's voice!!
Write it down and remember, that we never give in The Mind of a Child is where the Revolution Begins So if the solution has never been to look in yourself, how is it that you expect to find it anywhere else? So deep...pure lyrical poetry!! Not just this, but all of his work.
This track got through the toughest time when I was dead broke and caught up in my hustle. If you’re going through a tough time just know that tough times don’t last. This too shall pass🙌🏽
I'm still recovering but I've been on my missions for some time got caught in drugs and boozing and tobacco and really hurt myself now I'm recovering having heart problems I was a dumbest doing drugs and hurting innocent people Lost sight of what I was trying to do in life and that was to redeem my family in a war and now redeem my family in the sense of sobriety and recovery to be the strongest we can for one and other I fell to the lowest of Lows and climbing back up to the top
Been a fan of immortal technique for 10 years insane how this music just gets better now that everyone so lost in the system - technique is one of the best lyricists thats ever lived.
brother got words of wisdom i swear ta god dude the truth i rap the same way but no one listens to me im glad there is a voice out there thats picking up my slack #realtalk Mad Respect to Immortal Technique Do ya thang brother
immortal, best mc/rapper to date simply killed the genre for me, no one has come closer to the truth, miss this type of rap! now all we have are these songs to reminisce of when rap meant something more than materials.
can’t find the words too describe tech cu there ain’t enough. his albums are one hellva eye opener. his lyrics hit harder then heartbreak. his lifes one crazy story and he’s one hell of a mc.
2019 we still enjoy the great man songs. As he's called immortal technique!, and ain't no fanatsy. It is immortal! I loved America not for the cenimac scenes that's been shown on media. I loved it because of those people such as this immaculate rapper. His lyrics, the way, the ways he articulates are abnormaly amazing!
The current generation is seriously dumbed down..kendrick and cole are grossly overrated, and guys like tech don't get their due...but i like that he knows that, since he once said "universal truth is not measured in mass appeal." i rate him up there with nas and pac, and is often deeper than both. tech has set a very high bar, and left an indelible mark on rap.
Cole and Kendrick have done more for their people and respective communities than all three of y’all will most likely do in this life span combined. Ya’ll can never let multiple people be great. I’m just gonna assume y’all never actually dived into K.dot or Jermaines discographies. Just making outlandish statements. Out of the 100s of “mainstream” artist that’s who y’all spoke negativity on.
Kendrick Lamar and J Cole are overrated, shut up. Niggas like Immoral technique, eminem, Method, Redman, Blackthought, Rakim, are the reason why they the voice of music. Even Joyner Lucas is a part of that, go back n listen to the their music, n if you unwillingly too. Fuck trap music
It was an honor to meet you Felipe Andres Coronel aka immortal technique out side your show in OC at the observatory, love going to your shows true hip hop vibe and chill vibes as well
Immortal Technique is on a different level from any other rapper to ever pick up a mic. No one is even close to having a message in their music like he does. Especially not Eminem or Tupac smh
