The camera work on this heel turn was amazing. Watching roode slowly give in to the temptation on winning the match as he eyed that beer bottle and stabbing his best friend in the back was glorious
It still pisses me off how WWE has done absolutely nothing with Roode on the main roster. He was arguably the most over heel in TNA in 2012, longest reigning World Heavyweight Champ and yet they make him just a midcarder that’s only recognized by his theme song. Part of me wants them to get James Storm back to reform Beer Money but I feel like even then they would find a way to screw up their team.
"Hmmm there's a lot of broken glass in the ring....seriously where did all this broken glass come from?! Oh wait a pin better count the three then continue my investigation"
They should've given James Storm a longer run with TNA World Title. I know he's been with TNA for about 14 years. He's a 7 time NWA World Tag Team Champion, 7 time TNA World Tag Team Champion, and 1 time TNA World Heavyweight Champion. And on his 1st reign he held it for about a few days and dropped it to Bobby Roode who turned heel on him. I mean I understand they wanted to split them up. But they should've given him a longer run. Like have him hold the title till either Destination X or Slammiversery. If it couldn't be a long one then maybe till either Genesis or Against All Odds. And then go with Bobby Roode hitting James Storm with a beer bottle and winning the TNA World Title and solidifying himself as the 'It factor' in TNA.
Thomas Muller did he ever get another World Title reign in 2015-2016? I remember he had his weird ass 'flock' storyline going for him and got the Tag Titles during his heel run. I also know he was involved a couple times during Lashley's reign but lost. I don't remember what he did in 2014 (unless that was his heel run too) I haven't been into Impact at all this year since the Hardys left, is he even still there lol
If I was a writer I wouldn't let storm get the title roode should have turned on him the week he won the title let roode win the title and have storm get a proper month long reign as champ taking the title from roode would have made things a lot better
@@Aokoeborwhat was the point of having Bobby lose to angle and then have storm win it and then lose to Bobby and why didn't they let Bobby turn on him when storm won the title
I see James Storm as like the face of this company, and he is so under utilized. Needs a longer title reign. He ALWAYS gets the crowd fired up. THE OL COWBOY JAMES STORM...
Dubi Pill huh Hogan turning heel was better than this Magnus turning heel was better than this Randy savage turning heel on Hogan was better than this Randy Orton turning mega heel on Daniel Bryan was better than this HHH turning heel on xpac was better than this stone cold turning heel was better than this Shawn Michaels turning heel on Marty jannetty was better than this Jeff hardy turning heel was better than this that's off the top of my head if I was head writer a heel turn like this should have happened the week before it would have made more sense instead of doing it to him made roode jealous of storm getting a title shot instead of him who got screwed out of his he wanted the shot not his lesser talented tag partner there would be no way a lesser talented partner get a title shot instead of him
I wish James storm would've had a longer title reign. He is awesome as the cowboy. Even though I'm not a big fan of his flock thing currently, he should still become a world champ!
This was my fav. feud in TNA history. It was built up so well, with two tag team greats breaking up over ego and the thirst for wanting to be TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Roode failed, Storm succeeded and Roode couldn't take it. It was just perfect. Roode had an amazing run and should've been knocked off by Storm at BFG 2012, completely building both as top guys to go with Styles, Joe, and Angle. However, they pulled it off him and put it on Aries in a nice hot shot moment, but they killed their best angle in years or maybe their entire history.
Classic impact episode and match I remember seeing this episode and seeing for the first time ever alongtime ago James storm and Robert rhoode before he went to wwe went against each other one on one for the old tna world heavyweight title and one of my favorite tna world heavyweight title versions to that i will never ever forget but I never ever saw a heel turn coming from bobby rhoode it was sad shocking and crazy becuase they used to be a group back in the tna days back in 2008 and 2009 and 2010 they used to be close tag team partners when they was beer money but its crazy how I didn't not see that coming.
I remember when I knew nothing about TNA, all I knew were guys who left WWE like Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle. But my main 3 were definitely AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode!
To be honest it would’ve made more sense to have Bobby Roode turn on James Storm before Storm ever won the World Title. It would’ve been better for television ratings by having it be a featured feud on their TV station. Another feud that should’ve been written better is possibly between Bully Ray/D Von Dudley who could’ve had a fantastic feud which would’ve seen Bully Ray become World Champion and D Von at some point defeats him to win his first World Title.
What is the backstory? the thing i know is that Roode won BFGS. Then all of the sudden Storm became champion, and then Storm randomly gave Roode a title match on impact?
Could've been the feud of the year but they missed another great opportunity. I still don't know whether cutting Roode's reign in favor of Austin Aries was a better outcome than if Storm had won it back at BFG 2012. I guess we'll never know, unfortunately.
My fav. angle in TNA history. If Storm wins the BFG series and ends Roode's nearly one year reign, both guys woudl've been made. You now have both of them, Styles, Joe, Angle, RVD, Hardy, and Sting. You can still build Aries, EY, Magnus, etc. That's a great main event scene. Aces and Eights could've been used to spice up their mid-card that has always been lacking.
As much as I love James Storm, he’s the Marty Jannetty of Beer Money. He only had only a short amount of success as a singles star, but then the rug was pulled out from underneath him. Bobby Roode is the Shawn Michaels of Beer Money because he’s the one who betrayed James, went on to have an AMAZING singles career with multiple World Title Reigns, and he became a TNA legend before James did.
Since storm and roode marches are being uploaded to hype the bull rope match could we please have Magnus and joe matches as they're wrestling at TP aswell
This was unnecessary, Roode shudda won the world champion at bound for glory, but hogan fucked it all up cos he wanted it to be known as the nite he turned face. God forbid any wrestling show that hogan isn’t in the spotlight
In my past days I used to watch TNA sometime ..at that point I and my siblings and family used to say Bobby rude and James storm as HHH version on TNA ..But HHH used to only pedigree but the TNA HHH version used to codebreaker and other moves too.
I remember when I saw this match and I became a bobby roode fan when i watched tna a lil bit. I wanted him to win and he did using a beer bottle and a became heel.
This feud should have shot both guys to the moon. The fact that TNA only chose to truly push Roode will never cease to amaze me. These two could have been the faces of TNA for the next decade. Instead they chose to only push Roode and the $$$ hasn't stopped slipping through their fingers since.
The moment this is a full circle type of moment both of James storm most successful tag teams both ended with a beer bottle American most wanted James storm hit Chris Harris with a beer bottle hence breaking up there tag team in 2006 and then they faced off in one of Tna bloodiest matches in a Texas street fight fast forward 5 years later and Bobby roode hit James storm with a beer bottle breaking up Beer money and then faced off in a steel cage match also one of tna bloodiest matches and followed that up with street fight in 2012 at bound for glory and storm lost both feuds
if TNA would have had one PPV in Macon GA the crowd would have been 100 times better! The IMPACT 2011 where Roode screwed over James Storm. That was filmed in Macon GA, the crowd was amazing but a lot of wrestling organizations forget about the small arenas! Lets not forget when NWO Wolfpac first theme was in macon in the same arena! The small towns bring big crowds! Maybe TNA would be a contender now if they just followed where wrestling was made! in the south! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-doSa4i184XI.html same crowd #IWASTHERE! #BESTHEELTURNEVER
