Wamai and Melusi being so high on console it gives the vibes it's about the scope on the weapon. Just the new Mozz and Warden. Honestly ask yourselves how much you've seen them both played before they got the scopes. Now they're seen so often in console lobbies.

Guard break means the shield moving to the side because of damage happening to it. ie melee, explosions etc

i feel like at the moment, nokk is just a worse version of dokkaebi in every single way other than being able to use her gadget longer. Nokk only disables herself being visible on cams while walking, but dokkaebi disables all cams from the defender side, thus making her whole team not visible while her call is active on top of revealing every enemy location with sound queues, and even more, being able to hack into defender cams

i called this as soon as the season was announced - the acog change did nothing but make new crutch ops that have replaced the ones that used to have the 1.5. this disproportionally effects higher ranked console players as we largely have to deal with ximmers who have absolutely no drawbacks with the scope changes but reap every reward of the increased zoom.

I got a bit excited when I seen nokk on the patch notes but then reading just got dissatisfied 😒

Iana losing flashes is a huge nerf for solo queue players. Also lesion getting nerfed over fenrir and solis right now is crazy.

The Guard Break is basically the animation when you hit with the melee the shield of a shield operator, not the supresion mecanic.

Amazing video keep it up! One thing I do want to point out is that guard break is the animation where your shield goes off to the side. An example would be getting hit with an Ella mine. This change makes it so that even if they barely hit you with the impact grenade you're still going to throw your shield to the side!

Console is huge on the Acog, it's as if everyone is running acog these days😭😭😭 fenrir is also tricky to deal with on console because you can't look around to find the fnatt like you can on pc😂

Guard break is when the shield for a brief period gets knocked away from the front of a shield op, it happens when being meleed or from being damaged by explosives.

Wamai has an acog, Jager doesn't.

Guard break is when the shield is knocked away as if you've melee'd it. When you're hit by fire or an impact the shield gets knocked back giving an opening to shoot them, that is Guard Break. Suppression is still the sprint denial via bullet.

"Guard break" does NOT refer suppression, rather, it refers to the animation shield operators undergo when the shield is knocked to the side, revealing their legs to be shot. This occurs with melees and explosions. The patch was intended to, and does, allow impacts to still cause shields to undergo this animation despite their lower damage.

Been banning Wamai for over a season now on Xbox. He’s a 2/2 speed/armor, impact nades, acog, and flexible nade denial. He’s honestly a crazy strong operator

If guard break is not referring to suppression, it could mean the amount of damage that causes the shield to go to the side, when it looks like you’re about to throw it at the ememy.

The guard break effect is when the shield gets hit to the side. Like when you knife them

Guard break refers to the shield being pushed to the side by a melee,explosive, fire,etc. used to take 60 explosive damage to guard break a shield but now it’s less.

I was so used to looking for the cloaked lesion mines I never see the uncloaked ones. When they were cloaked they stuck out like a sore thumb.

I’m pretty sure guard break is the amount of damage from explosions that the shield user needs to take to have that “guard break” animation. so if an impact grenade hits for 20 nothing will happen, but if it hits for 30 then the animation will play, exposing their body

They are referring to the shield swaying away like when it is shot by Kali and such.

guard break is when your shield flys up and to the side giving people an opening to shoot your body, the more explosive dmg the larger the opening is

Gaurd break is when the shielder throws the shield to the side which allows you to shoot them. It's only caused by gadgets, explosives and meleeing a shielder who's been suppressed.

I think guard break is when a shield reacts to explosives and melee damage received. I think an impact will have a higher effect on the shields flinch (guard) similar to that ofna c4 or Kali round.

I remember Pirate Software talking about balancing & bringing the worst things up rather than crushing down the best & it rings whenever Ubi bring out patch notes

12:20, they're talking about the sway effect on the shield when you take an Impact head on. It had an effect of pushing your shield to the side as though you were melee'd, of course ignoring Monty when full extended. They had to turn down the number as the impact grenades would no longer be able to even meet the threshold to guard break a shield operator.

I play wamai alot on console bc when i use mute with the mp5k i dont have as much success as i do with wamai and the acog

I play wamai on ps5 because of his gun (2.5 op) and you can make holes with his secondary , plus impacts/ magnet for stuns

idk how nokk cooldown works now but if i understood this right it wasn't a nerf at the cooldown, you can activate and deactivate hel anytime, if you use all the 30 secs you could use it again after a few seconds even if only recharged a bit of the total time, it only buffed the time limit, the recharge wasn't changed

I feel a good Iana change would be make her kind of like Mirage from Apex. Instead of taking control of the clone it would just mimic the last action done. The clone could also "shoot" a tracker if a defender shoots it face to face. Clone can be set like an Alibi as well to make a defender think your leaning on an angle.

5:35 Honestly with how the AI bots work in firing range and in the training game mode I wonder if we could see Iana’s rework to be like how Mirage from Apex Legends holograms are where you ping and they move to that location but having them be able to at least jump over obstacles and when shot give you a enemy ping similar to Alibi. I feel like this rework would be really interesting for her and would make a lot of sense. They could have it to where you can choose to control her Hologram or let it follow a set ping course.

The reason wamai is so high is because the combination of the acog/gun/and 2speed on controller it's alot harder to recover if u miss a shot to the head, wamai's speed makes it impossible 2 recover in time especially three armored attackers and I'm pretty sure hes glitched bc I've died from completely missed shots a foot away from my head.

I completely disagree with removing lesions impacts because he’s is supposed to deal with shields and now he won’t be as effective a gu really isn’t going to stop him from being pushed by multiple people and a Shield at least with the impacts he has a chance when being rushed by 5 people especially with the damage and range of impacts being reduced

They did comment on silent step when they removed it, they said they knew it would make her worse but it was too strong and very annoying to play against as a defender because they didn't want stuff on attack that reduced sound. Which it was and she was and it was NOT fun.

Most of the operators on PC are within plus or minus two percent win rate. Honestly Ubi might want to chill on the nerfs. Honestly it's frustrating that their nerf/buff decisions are based on the popularity of operators when their win loss ratio shows that are not OP. Wamai has good guns, and is all around a decent pick when used right. But I prefer either a 590 pump or .357 with my new black ice The guard break thing is when they hit you with a bomb and it swings the shield out since you did kinda get hit with a bomb, and it lets you get shot. I think people gravitated to wamai after warden lost his 1.5, mostly because both weapons are headshot machines. Literally everyone who played warden now picks Wamai or Melusi because you’d rarely see melusi prior to her having a scope.

do you think a good buff to oryx would be to let him rush through reinforced walls but make him take 50 damage doing so and he can only do it once so you cant just doc every time you run through. if he was able to do so he could completely retake site in a plant scenario.

Here are my opinions At first I didliked the Iana change but than after hearing from Kudos I changed my mind because mute is like one of the best defenders right now. Lesion hits are great, I dont know why people think lesion is not super powerful when he is one of the best defenders he has so much he can do and his gun is crazy good. Oryx is not buffed enough there is no reason for his dashes through walls to damage to him or daze him. For one you dont have your gun up for a full half a second and you make such a large sound que but on top of that they want to make you unable to see anything and make you take five damage, it is way too much for the little roll he can play especially in high rank when you arent trolling. I absolutely agree that Nokk isnt being picked because of her gadget, for one it is so solo focused if you want to deny cameras just play IQ, Twitch, or brava. You can't know when there is cameras except for the points you get and you have to pay so much attention to your time you cant take gun fights, plus no one talks about how bad her gun is in long range gun fights especially with Acog, her SMG is already mediocre compared to others. Nokk has literally nothing and that is why no one plays her. Azami changes are fine and still make her kibas considerable shotting them was kinda out of the question for a lot of guns but now you can do it, it will just make you vunerable and take time but will be more feasible. Upset about no Solis or Fenrir hits. Jackal should stop being bannedbas much in ranked especially when you take into account his downsides. And Sens's gadget is still clunky and needs its own individual outline of where it will go for its whole route. Also can we make Iq's gadget less clunky

Nøkk’s Hel needs to be proximity resistant (Kapkan, Ela, Melusi etc) + silent step, now that would be the perfect buff for her. And make it 20 seconds again and 30 cooldown, whatever.. Just make her viable, not situational.

How to fix nokk= make her immune to sensors and stolas while using her ability it will be nice since you can use her ability while droning

As a nokk player I have to say, please bring back her silent step.

nokk needs one of 2 things to be worth playing, 1.give her back her version of silent step (made her quiet but not as much as cav) 2.make her IMMUNE to all electrical gadgets with her ability (sensors,cams,traps) we don't have a sneak option on attack and if feels wrong, why play nokk when i can play iq,twitch,brava or dok and get rid of cams or steal them entirely. nokk cant be seen by cams WHEN WALKING iq can see all electronic devices and ping them for the team brava can steal any electronic device twitch is safer brava (trades the steal for more range and not needing to be near, also silent and can destroy non electric devices like gu's and mirras, i say this as a brava main and i think brava is the better pick in most cases but i love playing twitch as well) dok restricts all cam sight and makes a sound que on all defense ops while being able to let attack use all defense cams with all that in mind why play nokk?

I’m glad the lesion didn’t get completely destroyed. Him doing damage with the Gus immediately is the only time I enjoy using him. Those two or three or so years of him not doing damage upon stepping on the gu I didn’t enjoy him much

They didn’t “miss the mark” on Nøkk, as they’re fully aware her gadget sucks rn. They’ve stated it in the past, while reffering to the grenade rework as a “nail in the coffin”. They even stated that they are working on a better change for her gadget, this is just a short term change so she isn’t as shit in the meantime. As for the “guard break”, this refers to when a shield is hit with explosion damage or melee’d, and the shield is pushed back and to the side- hence “breaking their guard” the historical term for getting past an opponents shield in battle. Maybe you just missed the mark there idk

iana loosing flashes for emps is a pretty bad nerf imo, rn she is great for gaining control by first getting info then using flashes to play of that info, i also have a hard time seeing her gadget synergycing with the emp since you mostly need info from the otherside of the wall to use effectivly, and for it helping her against mute the short duration of the emps would mean she has to be close and thus be really vunerable when sending in the gemini

Wish nokk could use her gadget to go past electric devices like beepers and melusi i feel like that would make her great. Silent step is good but I would like the gadget to feel better

As someone who’s been playing blitz and Monty since I started the game over a year ago, I’m happy to see these impact nade and lesion changes, even if it doesn’t end up being healthy for the game, I don’t really care, it makes blitz not instantly die to 2 impacts, and that’s a good change in my book. But Nokk needs her silent step back, her gadget just needs to go back to 12 sec duration with that silent step like she used to be.

I wonder what they could do to make Oryx a more viable pick… maybe if he could reinforce hatches from below that would be sick lol

The lesion nerf was not needed with all the buffs to shields he was incredible counter, plus now solis is not only losing her prep drone hunt she’s getting nerfed on the diffuser denial from below if the person has more than 80 health they won’t even die from the nades and then if someone else picks up the diffuser it’ll be way harder

Wamai being top on console is because his gun is just so good this season that I even play him quite a bit but also I’ve noticed a lot of not most xim players I encounter love to run him as they have mobility plus a gun that absolutely lasers so they can just roll people so quickly

Wamai is harder to see for some of the people I play with on console because his character is so dark. Couple that with the gun & the scope & his ability & you get what you have 🤷‍♂️
