Love this step by step crash / race / stunt cage install. Could you also do a removal of the install back to original assembly from the manufacturer? Only because an alteration compromises the integrity if there is a change of assembly & we or you or the new owner receives it altered & is not supported by the manufacturers already purchased warranty

I had an R7 ordered and let the dealer know I wanted a ZX6R if one came. He called me last week and said he just got a 2022 KRT and I snapped. He said he texted 20ish people and I was the first to respond.i got lucky and am not disappointed. This bike is nice

It's easy! Put the crush washer on and then tighten the nut. There is not much to it.

It’s very tedious and it took me a while but I think it got it down to a science. Do this: - Use two long screw drivers (or a long Allen wrench and a long screw driver - basically anything long and thin). - Put the screw driver through the washer and then guide it towards the all thread. - Then, using the other screw driver (or whatever other long, thin tool you’re using) push the washer into the all thread. - Once the washer is in, take the stock all thread and screw the nut into it a little bit so that it’s slightly tight. Then, screw the nut into the new all thread using the old one. Once it goes in a little, you can then unscrew the old all-thread and the nut will stay on the new one.

Put the nut in your socket and use a bit of tape to tape the washer to the end of the socket. Makes it much earlier to get the washer and nut on the all thread.

Do you have a takeoff your left side in order to change your oil filter? Looks like it’ll be pretty tough to maneuver around that

I came to ask the same question… I saw another video where someone installed Shogun frame sliders on a 2019 ZX6R (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dc6blTdsosk.html). As per the instructions from those frame sliders, we should use the same torque setting specified by the Kawasaki manual, which as per the video, is 32 ft lbs of torque. This number may vary based on the item you’re installing though so it’d be nice to hear from ImpakTeck what the torque setting for their crash cages should be.

In the video for the race rail install, he says to use about 30 ft lbs of torque. Not sure if it’s different for the crash cage, but I got one and used 32 ft lbs.

Ordered parts never came been 4 months now still haven’t heard from them don’t recommend buying from them tried contacting them repeatedly they never reply even got 2 support tickets that they recommend you get when you have an inquiry about your order and still no response and this isn’t the only case of this look it up online there has been a lot of incidents like this also I tried calling them multiple times and no response always goes to voicemail and on top of it voice mail is full don’t believe me try giving them a call do your research before you buy
