So helpful!!! Just about every other Impala skate review really had my second guessing my recent purchase of them. Your review was great and helped me be reassured and not regret my purchase. I'm just trying to have fun and skate and skate dance around and HAVE FUN 😂🙏🏽 MANY many thanks for this video
I know right like most people’s review was bad because they do like dance or derby or like they go to parks and I’m like I just want them to have fun and like cruise you know?
This video was super helpful, I just ordered a pair of impalas and I am getting back into skating after many many years. Thank you for your honest opinion and talking through the good as well as the negative this has been a super helpful video and I absolutely love your accent.
Thanks for the video. I ordered a pair today. Had been waiting for a restock. I ordered another brand about a month ago, and they are now being delivered in January. Thanks for the tutorial, makes me feel a bit better about my purchase.
Thank you for this video! It helped me a lot! I was very worried because I just ordered impala’s and I was second guessing the purchase. Now I’m sure that my purchase wasn’t bad 😅
My new skate friend had such a terrible experience with the impalas :( I hope she gets it sorted out! I, on the other hand, I got c7 skates and so far so good! I actually just updated the wheels to moxi wheels ! 💕
Thank you so much for this video. I've heard a lot about Impala Skates, but I've never seen an actual follow up video! I'm from New Zealand and there aren't a lot of roller skaters here. Please do a video on what you practiced by levels (so what you learnt first.. etc) and progress videos, looking forward to more content!
i thought i was the only one who had a big scuff at the tip of my skates , of course my first time getting skates was last christmas . and i usually just skate at rollerama . i also have that sound coming from my skates so im finally getting new wheels thanks hannah
I was literally about to order these skates right before finding your video because Impala recently restocked them. I'm so glad I caught this video, especially since there aren't many videos that do real reviews.
With any roller skate, a good sign of quality is going to be a stitched, rather than glued boot to keep it from separating from the sole. Buy quality. Buy once.
I definitely agree if you’re serious about skating, however if you think you’re the kind to skate for 2 hours and never use skates again you might as well throw away $180 instead of $400+
You shouldnt have to get new wheels, bearings and toe stops after only four months. No matter how much you skate. And the fraying at the ankle and pulling apart at the heel isn't good at all. BTW the Moxis have just skyrocketed in $ I just sold mine as I wasnt really wearing. I prefer my Chaya skates--love them. Only cost $200 new and holding up beautifully after 2.5 years of thrashing on roads (about 10km per week). I also have a $1,000 pair of Riedell but the Chaya have been the bomb. Great honesr review. Enjoy your next pair 😊
@@sherriecola I have Chaya Emerald (soft-the outdoor setup). I thrashed them roadskating for 3 years. I only stopped using them because I got greedy and invested more expensive skates (didn’t really need to, just did). I also have a pair of Chaya (denim) Glide skates which are a really nice fun skate… I have light up wheels on them.
Hey Hanna! I love your video, I have a bad knee but I’m still gonna skate, I wanted to know if your legs got thick cause I need to build some muscle to protect my ligaments, how long does it take to build hard muscle? Thanks for paying attention to this question :)
Gravelmouthed I found the width to be fine, and my friend with wider feet has no issues either. I wouldn’t say there is a quick wear in period cause they are quite rigid. If you skate daily then maybe 2 weeks
I soooo love this pattern, but I'm affraid that this shiny ones won't let my skin breath for few sweaty hours. Could you compare them with a regular surface skates? Are they friendly for your skin? Won't they make you sweat more?
email impala about the lifting. I had the same problem but not as bad and replaced them even though i was out of warranty. I also live in Australia we seem to have the best customer service team.
i myself just bought some impalas, if you live in the US you can directly buy them off their website, (just look up impala skates,) this probably works anywhere but i dont think theyre doing delivery to canada because of covid currently
That’s correct :) except for the rose gold set and the floral set which are $180. I got mine off Gumtree so I paid $90 - I’d always recommend this first if you don’t know whether you actually want to skate or not!
@@Hannah-ru8ob yeah i always loved going to the rink when i was younger and was pretty good at it i haven't done it for like 2 years and i wanted to pick it up again so i got impala yellow/blue skates
Thank you for this review video!! Very helpful. Found a lot of unboxings which doesn't help me decide to buy them or not. I appreciate your information! 🥰🎉💜🛼🛼
