Impatient BMW driver with a close pass

Firstly, the BMW driver gets upset (and mouths something) at me waiting for oncoming bikes and cars to clear the narrow section in front of me, which can't be occupied by two cars at once.
There's now a cyclist in front my me. The BMW driver gets angry again because I'm waiting to pass the junction on my right and for a clear section of road to become available before I overtake the cyclist.
The BMW driver then chooses close pass the cyclist, even though he could have given plenty of room.
Reported, but no action by police.

An impatient BMW driver? Why would a BMW driver be impatient when they are sat in such a superior, expensive, aspirational, luxurious and desirable method of transport?

When I read title "close pass" I was expecting the cammer to be overtaken by the BMW...

The lane is around 3.5m wide. Vehicles should give cyclists at least 1.5m when overtaking. The overtake by the BMW was in my opinion clearly inside that. Anyway, the BMW made no attempt to pass the cyclist safely even though they had an entirely free lane to their right.

@jmsld_ indicating to over take cyclist is a test fail. It suggests your turning thereby risking the car behind passing inside and hitting cyclist. Your in no position to criticise the BMW,s passing of the bike. Plus 18 mph? Lol you are the problem.

Bloke, firstly your highest speed was 18 mph with the greater time being considerably slower ,this is considered by the police as driving with "excessive caution" and is indeed a test fail and discouraged as it causes traffic build up behind (as in your case) and impatience in other drivers. Secondly, when overtaking a cyclist you do not indicate , for indicating leads the driver behind to reason you are turning and will thus try and pass on the inside and either hit or pass too close to the cyclist ( again in your case) you are meant to not indicate so as to allow the car behind to see the cyclist for themself, again this is a test fail. You are in no position to criticise the BMW and I would suggest you brush up on your highway code and driving etiquette .
