In a skirmish, using the Guard, the xenos of the Tyranids, were taking hold, I had two defensive lines, with dozens of turrets, artillery and numerous squads. Everything was going well, I was expanding. Then they started getting serious. In a few minutes, they destroyed everything, conquering strategic points. I decided to create specialized units and a scout titan, given the dwindling resources. the Guard resisted, the enemy was now at the main base. But the arrival of the titan has devastated their forces now worn out by the relentless assault. with the support of another titan, victory was possible.
Imagine how the Sons of horus and its followers during the heresy had to survive this thing and a heavy defense of various regements of guardsman and space marines in the siege to MOLECH
There were few things more glorious and true to their source material than beautiful Dawn of War stalemate, defenses versus waves of enemies with persistant bodies always set to ON!
The top of those legs are ultra thin. My guess is that the top area also has some kind of propulsion to take most of the weight off the titan. Either way, it blasted the whole map in a minute!
@@thegreatlarry9454 battletech mechs are on the level of knights, not titans. Any titan would rip the whole lances apart. And Emperator class could do it with a single shot of main gun.
Another lob-sided victory for the Imperium. At least 4 dreadnaughts in reserve for the sons of the "Santioned Mutant" and the titian showed up after the battle was almost won!

Damn, I need first person view Warhammer shooter with gameplay like Enlisted, where we can charge chaos bases with Titans, like in Horus Heresy Trailer...
To think so much work went into its model even if you only will see it for basically a few seconds to minutes, or however long it takes it to vaporize everyone on the planet.
Dow2 was a nice change of pace and I enjoyed it. Dow3 was just off, very tedious with mechanics that prolongs the game.. we had hoped to return to form but--oh well, some peeps enjoyed it still, so yeah.
