Imagine, you are living in Byzantium, Lutece Parisorum or anywhere else in this reality, and you see a video, that is exactly like this timelap, but human history goes like ours. And this person like: "Φανταστείτε ότι ζείτε στην Κωνσταντινούπολη, το Παρίσι ή οπουδήποτε αλλού σε αυτήν την πραγματικότητα, και βλέπετε ένα βίντεο, που είναι ακριβώς όπως αυτό το timelapse, αλλά η ανθρώπινη ιστορία μοιάζει με τη δική μας. Και αυτό το άτομο αρέσει:"
The World War seemed to play out between Roman successor states. Vallum Romanum was the most powerful country on earth but got flattened by the alliance of Two-Sicilies-Italy-their friends (including Afghanistan). Caledonia (controlling the British Isles) was Vallum Romanum's strongest ally but didn't seem to do much during the war.
This has to be one of the best timelines by far. Latin speaking Greeks in Italy, some weird Roman successor state in the middle of Eastern Europe, Caledonian British isles. This Timelapse was great
Could you imagine.... I meant the ancient temples of the Greeks & Romans that survive to this day are impressive, imagine if they have another 1500 years to build upon!
Iceland generally becomes theocratic in these if rome doesnt convert to christianity. Since it doesn't exist in IR, it's introduced in its standard form in CK3 (like ming in EU4), which in 867 means that it's western two counties, Vestrland and Suðrland, always start out with a catholic ruler, which generally flips their Ásatru counties fairly quickly. So, my hypothesis is that either the game or the converter force the pope into an existing catholic held province. Head of faiths can't be converted, however, to take the "dismantle the papacy" decision, you still only need italia, which rome owns, so it's likely that the Papacy was in fact destroyed, which kills the pope. Since the pope would still own Vestrland, which isn't part of the papacy yet his own title, it's likely that his theocratic succession law passed on there as well, and his successors continue as duchy tier bishops. From here on out, there's different ways the Rabbinism conversion could have occurred. I'm not sure if independent rulers can get heresies anymore (i do recall an interesting game with an orthodox france), but that's an option, and if in doubt, stress events could also flip a characters religion, at which point they might then go on to convert their provinces. All just hypotheses, but they do add up with the things seen in game. :3
@@GeneralPol Could to be nice if in HoI4 was won only one empire or union and then to make similar regime in Stellaris and to observe how it will service in galaxy
Thanks. The Paradox Game Convertors team are still working on the Victoria 3 convertors, so we have to wait a little longer. As soon as they are ready, I'll get working on a Vicky3 Mega Campaign! 😎
As a suggestion I would advise to use the options of the EU4 to Vic2 converter to have civilization status be based on institutions and not be by default for european cultures. Here it killed the Maurya's and Ming's game which was quite sad, especially since the Middle East was greek and thus considered of "european culture" and thus started of as westernized. It would allow far more unpredictable timelapses where non-european nations could do quite well even in Vicky2 and HOI4.
The ai can’t manage successions. Which honestly, is accurate, except for the fact that kingdoms are too small and it always disintegrates to that level
It's pretty much useful further in megacampaign, empires from Imperator fall apart leaving interesting kingdoms, which in Eu4 populate the europe, but i also assist myself with shattering empires in ck3>eu4 converter to make game more populated if things go south and some rome shit somehow lives.
Carthage conquered/colonized the British Isles and Scandinavia so we have Baal-worshipping Britons and Nordics. Greece resurfacing in Pakistan of all places (was that the Indo-Greeks?) Both China and India had massive populations but remained poor and unindustrialized, although Japan did manage to become a Great Power on par with the Europeans. On the whole this timeline was still dominated by Europe, possibly to a greater degree than ours.
I think Seleukid house with that religion must have taken power towards the end of imperator. Either it converted the whole empire on the way to ck3 or the ck3 Seleukid kings could have been very successful at converting the empire which is doubtful
God, it's so hard to choose which side to root for in Hoi4. On one side theres Scandia which is Carthage in Scandinavia, then there's Vallum Romanium, which is literally just Romania but massive
Quick questions: -can we submit saves to be converted -can you show the map at the start of rhe game, in ck3 for instance I'd like to see how imperator religions and cultures look immediately
@@GeneralPol drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/19FWqwe6bp39TJWmeQiW9iSUGQXIx4xq1 Here's a collection of some of my strangest and most interesting saves. Enjoy! :D
My thought right now is this, we are playing from 304BC till 1951 AD but what will our Children/Grandchildren be able to play? till 2060? what will happend in the future. Will our live and future be their game about history. Its kind a crazy to think about it.
This is awesome. I loved Louisiana being a world power for a while. What's the music from (especially the HOI4 segment)? I haven't played these games. Are they the main themes from each title?
By 6:41 both Rome and the Seleucid Empire cease to exist. This is how it should be, the large empires should eventually fall. Good to see CK3 doing its job.
Sure, tho its a mod, not a save. You can get it here: drive.google.com/file/d/1yQhv2l2iWRdPtMFmTjOBse6ufcmD1r23/view?usp=sharing just unzip the contents into your \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod folder and then add it to a playlist
Conclusion: If Rome didn't convert to christianity, at least it's culture and traditions would have persist until the modern day without too much barbarian influence (and also Augustus borned in Gaul during WW2)
@@GeneralPol do you have any idea of when the vic3 to hoi4 converter will be released? i know the eu4 to vic3 one is out but it's sad not being able to finish off with hoi
I like how Italy, Rome, and Greece eventually ended up in areas not of their origin. I was tooting for Egypt to stick around with its small area in the middle ages. Alas, they got swallowed up.
For the next run starting in Imperator, I recommend you use the 3 mods recommended by the converter people (conveniently linked in their release thread) and end the Imperator campaign in 456. After recent major improvements to the 3 mods including the converter itself, we should see some very different results than any of your previous runs. You end in 456 because aside from the 3 mods you need to subscribe to, the converter has now integrated the Rise of Islam, especially for CK3. In CK3 you'll start in 456 before the normal CK3 start date to see islam rise. Thereby the amazing ppl from the converters and other modders have finally fully implemented thge dark ages period, which PDX titles skip.
Croats have 0 independent battles, in past 1000 years. Croatian genetics is like bowl of spaghetti..... having in mind for the past 1000 years Croats were humble under Turkish soldiers, HUngarians, Italians, Mongols, Austrians, Serbs.....even by French shortly ;) so yeah.....
