To answer why Dream didn't ask an all encompassing question to the fates: You saw how they were answering him and he knows them well enough, if he had asked them a massive question they'd probably give him the most confusing and useless answer known to man and he'd just wind up worse off than he was asking all three as he did.

Neil Gaiman stated that they had issues with the rights to John Constantine, so what they did is they used Johanna Constantine, which is his ancestor and Morpheus actually meets up with her in the comics during his meetings with Hob.

Dreams and Nightmares can't Die, except by Morpheus Absorbing them. This is why he's the only one he fears.

The thing is: the Fates were vague as shit, yes. But they also gave him all the information he actually needed. You’ll see more of what I mean in the coming episodes, but the information they gave is just enough for Dream to get his tools back. The extra questions were just him trying to weasel out a little more information if possible.

John Dee is an old school Justice League villain who goes by Doctor Destiny. Neil Gaiman originally wanted to use the Joker, but ultimately decided to rework Doctor Destiny into a mystical character rather than a scientific one. He's a dope villain, it's a shame that these days he really only shows up as a background character in Arkham.

The snake, reminds me of Ouroboros which is a never ending snake devouring their own body. Death. Life. And Rebirth.

she did not send him back she killed him well dreams and nightmares cant die they can only be absorbed back by Sandman so he just got revived back at the dreaming like dying in an RPG and reviving back at your last checkpoint and yes he can't kill anything made by sandman no one can kill anything made by sandman

Cain and Abel if I remember right they were the first sons to Adam and Eve or something. The brothers had their own farmstead and think cain raised sheep and Abel did something else. They wanted to give gifts to god, god liked Abel gift more and out of jealousy Cain killed his brother. He buried him in the soil of their farm and it brought him back to life. What Abel tells to the new gargoyle is interesting about family. Despite how Cain is and they fight Abel still cares for him since they are family. Family fight each other once in a while but they are still important to be together. Now this varies since it’s different for everyone circumstances and eBay happens.

Dream had to ask the questions like that because if He asked: "where is all my stuff" The would respond very vaguely with an answer that sums everything up like: "They have all traded hands from the one who stole them" So he had to ask specifically about each.
