Come here kids I’m gonna tell you the story of Rome. A once obscure village of central Italy. At the frontier of Etruscan and greek civilization, who managed to defeat everyone in their way and become on of the greatest empire the world has ever seen.
@@user-yx5hb5zn4i The Umayyad dynasty lasted less than 100 years but Rome? Rome is immortal. The physical Roman Empire lasted over 1000 years. A Roman state has existed in one form or another in an almost totally unbroken sequence since 753 BC up until modern day with Vatican City and the Roman Catholic Church. The ancient Roman institutions and traditions live on in some form or another and influence almost every facet of culture in the west. Islam as a whole has had a similar effect upon the Middle East and beyond but the empire that founded those cultural influences was not as illustrious as Rome.
Here are my interpretations of the piece 0:00 - 0:40 somber tunes of rural villages in central Italy 0:40 - 1:00 the villages transitions into the Roman Kingdom 1:00 - 1:20 the last king was overthrown, the Roman Republic was established and expands through its mighty legions 1:20 - 1:40 the Republic faces its end as Caesar’s civil war begins 1:40 - 2:00 Octavius emerge as the victor and the Empire was created, the height of civilization and prosperity under the Five Good Emperors 2:00- 2:20 the Empire faces many threats from within and outside, gone are the days of the Roman Peace 2:20 - 2:40 a woman laments the loss of the Empire, and what remains of the classical world as the Western Empire became various Germanic kingdoms
Rome has carved it's name and glory into history, however it shall never return. Italy doesn't live up to a fragment of the once great Empire it was home to.
About three thousand years ago, the largest empire of the ancient world was born in a swampy area on the banks of the Tiber River. At first, only a handful of people lived on the mosquito-infested hills, but a few centuries later the Romans seized the entire territory of modern Italy. And not only. Where once there was a hotbed of malaria, an empire grew up, owning fifty provinces.
History is more mysterious than fiction. History of mankind proves this. What if Rome was never there. What if Carthage won. What if Persians won at Greece. Many What ifs is what made me interested in history. What if Archduke Ferdinand lived. What if Hitler got into art school
@@whydoineedahandle793 I misremembered. Imperia is referenced only as a motif during the intro cinematic ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zMK-zbBLIQk.html I just assumed imperia had a corresponding attila track since I instantly recognized the melody
@@nerdyafro5415 It's about a boy who ostracized by his people in Country called Hellenion for his Great Frightful Power. The boy has to through a life of a Cold War happening on his world while at the same trying achieve his goal to become King of his people to be respected and to be looked up on. Theirs a lot to be said about this series. And as well that I will want to expand upon this Series just like how Star Wars The Expanded Universe did until Disney fucked up the whole Series. So yeah that's all I'm going to tell.
@@unclecavi1329 Well I don’t have the Full Plot and Details of my Story. However if you insist then I do have a Devaintart Named Starkiller757. I do post Lewd stuff, My OCs which are part of my story (Some are gonna get redesigned) and ETC. However my story has changed a lot from what I intended. So don’t expect my story to be like ROME 2 though I do have names drawn from Ancient Civilations and as well as Mythical creatures.
Imagine that, all that history of rome since all rise and fall, and then comeback replay video of two brother speaking each other (romulus and reimus), Hey brother how about we found a city here? Sound good idea....
Sajal Sahai Could be Scipio Africanus since it shows Romans fighting Carthaginian hoplites and elephants outside a city. However, it looks like they just fused two scenes and put some random officer in the middle.
first impresion when I hear this music is confuse adapt from napoleon TW musket army tactic to ancient rome war style, have no idea what spear/ pike/ and sword purpose and how to use them in battle......
CA mentioned that they were planning on releasing the Rome 2 soundtrack in the future so they wanted me to take down my soundtrack. But I didn't want to delete all of the videos since I'm sure they won't release all of the game's music. So I'm unlisting all my Rome 2 videos for now and then replacing my versions with the official ones when they come out (like with my 3K playlist)
@@peacheslamb3546 Ah, that is interesting! I didn't realise that they were planning on releasing the Rome II soundtrack officially. Hopefully they include some of the music featured in the cinematics and trailers as well.
周岐宇 This soundtrack really mix all cultures. It starts with a duduk which present us the East factions, then a mediterranean sounds which are greeks and celtics for the barbarians. But, suddenly, the Imperial March appears. Rome is here, and irs going to conquer the world....
@@bobbob5541 i do like both but Rome 1 fanboys tend to trash everything about Rome 2 when it's clearly a better game (now not at release and more historically accurate)
Rome 2 is enjoyable but the marketing lies are not acceptable. It's quite a good game but it's not as good as R1, especially when you keep the age in mind. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dy5GRaHzFnI.html
They did expand into Germania during Augustus’ reign however after two legions of Varrus were annihilated at the battle of Teutoberg Forest by Arminius it was quite difficult to find the courage to cross into the lands of the barbarians again.
Nah, if Rome took over Germania then the Germanic languages wouldn't exist, there would be no England or Vikings or anything like that. Almost all of Europe would be this massive Latin/Romance speaking Mediterranean lake. That would be kinda boring compared to what there is today.
