thank you for your quick response, I'm a airlines, airport fanatic. I grew up in L.A. My home that I was born in ,is a mile to 11/2, South of landing path of the South runway arriving at LAX. After years of watching aviation videos from this hill I was finally able to make the pilgrimage last Saturday. I swear this place is the Mecca for aviation guys and everyone should make the pilgrimage once. I was not disappointed either! I never realized how slow the heavies look when they're taking off.

Of course this gets a huge LIKE from me...this Imperial Hill lookout is my stomping grounds...it’s only just up the street from where my wife and I live. You go there just to do perhaps 30 minutes, or so, of spotting and before you know it two hours have “flown” by (yes...pun intended). It always amazes me how powerful the hydraulics on these big birds have to be to pull that massive landing gear into their bellies....whew....and you capture this beautifully with as always your very steady, smooth camera work. Are you using a tripod...or handheld...and...did I already ask...what camera are you using. You sure make this look easy...and I, for one, can tell you that shooting these fast moving babies from this spot is anything BUT easy. And that Cathay Pacific at 7:13 looks so massive...WOW....the sound alone goes right through you. And then at 8:19 you top that with the Emirates A-380...holy cow...and it is just amazing how quiet these huge birds are. And at 24:39 even watching the Qantas A-380 being towed is awesome. What’s great about spotting around LAX is that sooner than later one WILL see an A-380 either coming in or going out. This is a fantastic video...well done...very well done...Lare

I have a question, I love planespotting videos,but the question that's on my mind is," Houston,Tx is considered the 4th largest city in the U.S. , why Houston Intercontinental Airport (Bush) has really a small portion of international carriers that flies in or out? no Etihad, No Are Lingus, etc. only has 1 carrier that flies the A380 (Lufthansa),even their hub United doesn't fly the soon-to be retire 747? Just curious.

Absolutely amazing! I have to say my favorite part was around 6:30 with the 787 and the ... I believe it was a 767? Two of my favorite aircraft captured in one beautiful shot. I loved that American A319 with the retro livery as well. Earned a like. I also have a question. What do you think is the dominant airline at LAX? I live on the other side of the country and I've (surprisingly enough) never been to the airport. From what I've heard it's either American or Delta.

I want to go plane spotting because I love planes and I want to be a pilot when I am older.
