They had a top placing with 3 big knights and 3 armigers 2 weeks ago. Not like there is alot of way to use them but they have 2 ways to play your good my friend
@@thelegendsmith3063 yea thundercoil harpoon. That's why I run them. I love that weapon And with the reroll it's virtually guaranteed to convert and like a 80% chance of being devastating wounds
I played an IK guy at an RTT last month with a light mechanized Ynnari list that averages 31 heavy las-cannon level shots per turn and only managed to kill one wardog and not a single big knight. He was running 3 big, rest dogs, equal split melee/range but with max RFBCs and totally kicked my ass, but I noticed some things. Every single time I got 2 shots through, like 2/3 from a ravager or 2/2 with a war walker, he made at least one save every time, seriously, with d cannons, war walkers, lance scourges, ravagers, the works I never double tapped him. I also noticed that whenever he took a re-roll, he never, NEVER re-rolled the die that failed but grabbed a new one instead for the re-roll, and his dice were some offbrand dice larger than smalls but smaller than GW dice I had never seen before, with fists for 6s. interestingly his 6+ FnP rolls were statistically average, he never got 5+ from warlord kill. Now this is all complete paranoia, I admit, but hear me out hypothetically: I think this guy had his dice loaded to roll 5s, not 6s, and had the loaded dice mixed half and half with non loaded dice and I will explain why this would be extremely crafty. 1)Obviously, knights all have 5+ invulns vs ranged, but for big models a "lucky run" of invulns can easily win a game. 2) Heavy hits are few at a time so there aren't enough dice rolled to notice an anomaly, but they hit hard so many dice would be rolled for damage possibly showing an anomaly with 6+ FnP if the dice were loaded for 6s 3) The dice are mixed half and half for some plausible deniability and to avoid yahtzee 5s with a RF battlecannon 4)IK players know that their opponent will prioritize them NOT getting their warlord and the 5+ FnP, for obvious reasons, and this actually helps this scenario work out 5)No one even considers the possibility of someone loading dice for 5s 6)In this day and age you Know there is a custom dice maker somewhere that can make dice like this. 7)How many people bring the 31 lance shots to a tournament to even notice something like this? I am a non-meta player, or at least try to be, my army has yes avg 31 hvy shots but there are 120ish light shots too (hawks and ranger bikes), so I figure all is well for some fun times. Anyway, no doubt I am full of crap and just having fun with paranoia, but imagine if this sort of idea started circulating within a faction forum by PMs... I would ask for someone to tell me I'm crazy but I already know that, this post was fun though.
You left out the coolest list from bedlam in the burgh. Placed 3rd. Angron 2x KLoS Greater Brass Scorpion 2x2 chaos spawn I may be biased though because it was me
Hmmmm no custodes in here you know with how people talk about them I figured it would be all custodes every event always till the end of time lol. Awesome to see knights up there though I personally feel we should all want small model count armies to do good to reign in the ludicrous amount of money GW makes off this hobby.
@@Wes-xk6hl it is just a single incision, BUT doesn’t take away from the fact that your not playing Imperial Knights as it: - adds a model we don’t have access to - gives us ability to influence strat costs for enemy battle tactics - has incredible scoring power due to the way it can be deployed, it’s a character so can use to empower objectives or secondary actions - can move via deepstrike So if you consider just how many vp you can gain via the inclusion, it’s a reflection of how well your combined force is doing vs how well the Imperial Knights are doing
