Imperial Smells Like Bean Spirit Vanilla 

Imperial Smells Like Bean Spirit Vanilla from Mikerphone Brewing was purchased at Rozi's Wine House for $11.95. Now that may seem expensive for a 16 ounce can of beer, but the glorious liquid inside was worth it. Not to mention the cool name and artwork. When I opened the can I was pummeled but the scent of fresh brewed coffee. The pervasiveness of the coffee smell was shocking to the point I trail off quite a bit talking about. Once pulling the glass closer to my nose there were also scents of vanilla and maple syrup. The beer poured out like used motor oil coming out of my 1998 Dodge wit a burnt caramel color head that dissipated quickly. The flavors were fresh coffee, vanilla, light maple syrup and bitter chocolate. The 10.5% alcohol was well hidden, but on the first sip i did get a little bit of the evaporative alcohol but it was just enough to let you know this is a big boy beer. The body was heavy with a nice viscousness to it. This beer is a stunner and I hope to find the other versions of it!
