Hello Zura. Thanks for all your good work. Realizing how busy you are, I want to get this snag list in before you finish the project. 1. Users in the same group must NOT be allowed to modify each other's content, but they can view all content in the group. 2. LoadMore only works on small screens and not large 3. All Groups must be visible to users to encourage them to read the About Page and join the group. We can change the color of the unjoined groups to a dark gray. If the groups are not seen, the students won't bother. 4. User's public posts must not be available in groups and vise vasa 5. We want to limit posts to 550 char with a visible message Thanks.
Hello, All of them are easy. 1. This is not allowed right now. You can not modify the post created by someone else if you are in the same group and if you are regular user. You can modify the post if you are admin of the group. 2. I will have a look at it. 3. You can easily modify that part. Change how groups are selected in HomeController. I think you just need to change ->join() with ->leftJoin(), but please test it, this is just my first opinion. But it should be very easy in general. 4. User's public posts are not visible in groups. Groups only show posts which are posted inside that group. Isn't it working like this? 5. Just modify the rule in StorePostRequest for attribute body and the proper error message will be displayed. I hope this helps.
Hi, I just wanted to make a comment that may be resolved later in the course, but before starting this video, group photos are shown even if the post was deleted. I solved it by filtering so that photos from deleted posts are not shown, but I'm leaving the comment anyway. Thanks for everything Zura
Thank so much for the tutorials, I got a chance to learn laravel and react from this channel for free, am kindly requesting help, how to separate the users from an admin on login, I created two layouts in the component, one for guest layout and the default layout but separating users and admin is still a problem and also implementing the roles and permission. For the next react laravel, I kindly request for roles and permissions and role based routing user and admin thanks so much I really appreciate ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤:
Hey man, sorry for a weird question but how long would it approximately take to learn Laravel from scratch ? I have a basic understanding of Javascript, React, and PHP.
Its very tough to answer that. It depends on how much time you can allocate every day for it and depends on how deep knowledge you want to get. But I believe if you have a decent knowledge in PHP and OOP you can learn Laravel on intermediate Level in about 1 month if yiu work hard. I am working on a Laravel course which will be for beginners and that might interest you.
