HOW TO IMPORT 3D MODELS OF SKETCH UP IN DIALUX EVO
We all love 3d furniture models to use in our Dialux evo projects, here is another video on importing 3d models of sketch up in Dialux Evo.
Its super easy to get this models.

hi itry to import the 3d ware house to my dialux evo but its not appear, i need how convert it to 3ds to work how can i? from 3d to 3ds

I used 3d object but calculation stopped and appear a msg an occurred during the calculation and unfortunately i can't understand why ? Please suggest syestam requirements if i used 3d objects

Check if calculations are working fine when you Run calculations without Objects,. May be issue is with 3D models

Hi Maam Thanks for the video, can you please let me know how to get the Magnetic Tracks alone??? is there are file format to import in to evo. looking forward to your reply.

Hey Leevan Loy, easiest way is to make magnetic track is by using extrusion volume.. reduce the thickness of extrusion volume and place it in the level of ceiling.

My 3d model in sketchup is in mm scale. When I imported it to dialux it was super huge since dialux is in Meter. How can I change the scale of the 3ds file in dialux? Thank you

Hi Zakariya. Yes Sketch up scale and Dialux Evo scale doesn't match many times. You can change the dimension by scaling it in site view or just set the dimension in Object section. If the point is still not clear, I will make a short tutorial on this soon.

@@SumaiyaEliyaz Hi Sumaiya. Thank you for your reply. I read yesterday that it is not supported yet to change the scale unit of a 3ds file in dialux. You can scale it manually but this is not the best option to change for example from mm to meter. the only solution is to make sure that the scale unit of the sketchup model when being exported is in meter so it matches dialux working unit. HI I have downloaded the new evo version have you ever faced the issue with calculation START play button is disabled in evo 9.0 ? i have completed the construction and installed the lights , done the calculation many times it was working ..BUT after i installing some spot lights in the outdoor site1 area and did the calaculation i selected the story 1 to recalculate the inside rooms lighting but start calculation play button is disable, how to resolve ?please help

Are you doing calculation in Fast Mode? If yes, Keep the calculation in Standard mode. Site view and try running calculation. If still has a problem, send me your file at sumaiya.lightdesign@gmail.com, I will check and resolve the issue.

hello to everybody!! one question, i have a 3d model in sketchup, and I want to export it to rhino, and then to dialux, can you suggest the best settings to do that in order to avoid useless parameters? thank you very much!!

Hi, Can I know specific reason for importing it in Rhino and then Dialux. If you need to adjust units , you can do it in sketchup itself easily.

You can use trial versions of Sketch up, or get 3d models from other sites like archieve 3d

Hi everybody! I have a question. I imported my building modelling to dialux, designed lighting in dialux. When I calculate it, it siad "an error occured while calculating". What does it mean? Can't I calculate by sketch up modelling ? Thank you very much !!!!

Yes it does! Please find the tutorial below for importing the 3dmodels with proper scale. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o1-CtIC4chM.html If you are importing the whole building. Make sure to delete unwanted objects, which makes the file heavier.

Hi Sumaiya,Thanks for video. When I import 3D models of sketch up file into dialux, the unit of models is not correct in the dialux, it is scale to 1000 times. Could you help me how to fix this error? Thank you so much

Yes this is probably because the unit of the model made in sketch up is in ft/inches/mm etc. But the unit of objects in Dialux will be in "meters". That is the reason the model is much more bigger when imported in Dialux. So you can scale the object in Dialux to meters.

HI!... how can I explode a complete model in Dialux? I have a complete project from Sketchup to Dialux but I don´t know how can I do, can you help me please? I´m new in Dialux evo 9

Hi, You can export complete model in Dialux Evo from Sketch up, please follow below points. 1. Check the total mb file size of sketch up file, delete all unwanted objects and high poly objects like trees or plants. 2. select all in sketch up and make it in a single group 3. Go to EXPORT option and select .3ds extension to convert it into 3d model 4. Import the 3ds file in Dialux Evo

Yes, I know that, the problem is that I import a model of a complete interior design and once I export it to Dialux, then I cannot edit it within Dialux, I would like to exploit the entire block to move objects, it is imported as a group or whole block. I am new to Dialux and I really don't know if Dialux allows you to exploit that block to edit it. Can only move, rotate, graduate and change materials?

please make file in Ifc format you can edit as room wise
