Pls Help ERROR: could not open file "C:\Users\LENOVO\Desktop\ExportExcel.csv" for reading: No such file or directory HINT: COPY FROM instructs the PostgreSQL server process to read a file. You may want a client-side facility such as psql's \copy. SQL state: 58P01
Thank you Ankush 1. Is it possible that I add a conditional numbering in the SQL generated by a formula? Please can you share how 2. Now that we created database from excel, is it possible that I create Excel from the database where the fields are validated and drop down controlled by the database driving back end. Say for the excel share with number of users ?
This is good. Thanks Ankush. Can you make a video explaining how to bulk 'UPDATE' a table that already is already populated with data in PostgreSQL? - Thanks. :)
Hello Thank you for this video! i have a big request-do you know a tool for migrating the data let s say in my case from sql server to oracle?i have oracle 18c and sql developer 21.2.1 I could try myself but i don t want to ruin something. If it s possible to help i will pay for the help. If you help me of course if you know with the migration you can show me just for one database. I will manage myself for the rest. Thank you in advance
Will that CSV has to be in the server location. I mean, will it work for end-users who are using pg-admin to import data using COPY command from their local drive ?
Can use pg-admin to run code generated for PostgreSql through "LoaderDataPlus" tool. This tool generates code for bulk loading from flat files or code to insert rows using SQL.
I need to spend 11 min for import only one excel table?? I can't believe it! And it provided that you did not show part of the action (writing code for create table in postgresql). Why so long? Very, very long and needless complexity. I am completely new to PostgreSQL and I don’t know much, but I used to MS SQL Server before and only a few clicks needed to be done a similar task. It is disappointing. And, honestly, I can not believe that the developers of PostgreSQL did not simplify the import/export of popular formats.
@@learnomate We are talking about completely different things. You are talking about hardware capabilities, and I'm talking about the number of actions that I need to perform for a similar operation. All that is needed for this in the MS SQL server is: 1. Open the "Import / Export Wizard" 2. Select the source data format and source file. 3. Select the format and database in which we need to convert. 4. Make logical settings if you are not satisfied with the default. 5. Click OK. The end. An example from your video is much longer. I'm not saying that the video is bad, but the fact that maybe there is no faster way will make me sad. And if I have hundreds of tables and thousands of fields within them. How much time is needed ..
