Importance of Catalytic Converter | PakWheels Weekly 

Amazing efforts to make people know about what they're doing to our environment by just removing catalytic converter and not paying heed to this hazardous emissions. As a mechanical engineer i admire your work suneel bhai really a huge fan of yours.

Catalytic Converters can be serviced and reused again. The common problem while servicing is that mechanics use Acid to service it, which damages the surface of the Cat and may cause the cat to rattle since the Acid weakens the seal. The proper way, is to scrape of the Top Surface of the Cat, (from where the Exhaust Gases enter the box), using the round edges of a hack-saw blade . First step is removing the Cat from the Exhaust System. The second step is to cut open the top part of the Cat case right below the Flange using a grinder (be careful not to cut it from the place where the Ceramic Block is positioned inside). Don't forget to mark the area which will be used to cut the box. 3. Scrape off the top part of the Ceramic Block carefully. 4. Air-Clean it from the other side of the Cat using compressed / high pressure air or by using a blower. 5. Weld back the top part and install it back to the Exhaust.

Hi, I appreciate your effort to educate Pakistani people. Emission standard is extremely critical and alarming in Pakistan. In Europe emission standard is now Euro 6 D-temp. Euro 4 was ended in 2008 and then came euro5, then euro 6, then euro6b, then euro 6c, and now from September 2018 is euro 6 d-temp is compulsory. Hope I could help you. Many thanks, stay blessed

I had toyota prius 2012 in uk. I drove 280,000 miles(450,000km). Its half a million kilometers motorway milege which i did in 6 years and got catalytic converter changed by the main dealer(Toyota) and kept driving till seven hundred thousand km and then scrapped it but it was still good to drive. I think its the fuel you get in Pakistan is not proper unleaded.

We in Europe use cars with cat + DPF and egr valve so end result zero emission no road tax but even if you use good fuel it will still block your DPF filter in diesel cars I know it's good for environment but especially DPF IS big headache
