The N54 is notorious for having maintenance issues and one of the worst things is the 30FF low boost code if you own one of these cars you've probably experienced this code. One way to ensure that you don't experience this code is to upgrade your vacuum lines from the stock rubber and braided line to high temperature vacuum lines. I went with the Verocious Motorsorts platinum cured silicone vacuum lines rated for temperatures between -65F and 400F. They have "heavy duty wall thickness" with a 2.5 mm wall size. Overall these represent a significant upgrade over stock. To do the entire care you will need at least 15 feet do not make the mistake I did and only order 13 feet. You will have to make a second order if you do.
