On my bit older device What happens if I don't agree to samsung account policies? They wrote online that I must stop using their services and delete my account, will they delete my account without my consent?

I've tried this method three times now, and i can still turn my s23 ultra off. It only asks me for the passwod when im turning my phone on, any advice on this jeff please. 😢😢😢

You have turned off the phone after unlocking it, this doesnt work then. Same for me. Try turning it off without unlocking.

I've got it now you need to turn the phone off from the blank screen when the phone isn't on. Don't unlock your phone to the home screen that's how it works...

Great tip! I have my s24 ultra setup where you can't swipe down either to turn on airplane mode. I just can't remember how I did it though. Super secure.

I remembered I'm using Cerberus lock screen protector app. Locks out the quick setting and power button.

So it only can work with "password" secure settings? Like when I am not able to use fingerprint and want to use this option then I can't use symbol draw lock ?

I only get it to work when powering on the phone. It powers off as normal without asking for fingerprint or pin even though I've set the high security password as you showed.

Hey Jeff Great video but I have a question While I use Bixby, I'd give it a command like turn off the lights but what it hears is "bixbyturn off the lights" Then it doesn't understand what I'm saying. It's quite frustrating 😑 Do you have any fix for this?

On my Z fold 6, turning off the phone from lockscreen requires pattern or fingerprint input. High security password and turning on the lockdown option is not required.

I have an S24+. I use the High Security lock type. I've turned on all the Secure Lock Settings. The secure power off feature in this video doesn't work as you've shown. Any suggestions?

I use pass-pattern and fingerprints on my S22. If screen is on or off I have to enter pattern or use an appropriate fingerprint. If the phone has been on over 72 hours it will ask for the pattern the next time I go to open it just like my Motorolas.

I'm sure the answer is pretty obvious, but why would it be a bad thing, or why would someone want to turn off my device? If they stole it, it's gone. why does it matter if it's on or off? The network/wifi thing for "find my phone" I get it. But, turn it off? 🤔 Thanks!

I think the point also is, that if someone DID steal your phone, you can only remotely lockdown your phone if it's turned on so that nobody can steal your data (provided there is enough battery of course). You can't if it's off. And if they try to enter your password incorrectly too many times, it is locked anyway and they can't access it.
