Join our FREE Importing from Africa class here: go.africajumps... Dr. Harnet is in Rwanda with her business mission group and is showing you high quality gluten-free cassava flour ready for import in the west.
Hi everyone! For everyone who missed the LIVE webinar on How to Import from Africa and the replay, I have good news: I did a recorded web class for you here tinyurl.com/ybxlg5xc
Hi Dr. Harnet first of all this caught me by surprise because I am from Rwanda and I love this product. I happen to be a shareholder in a similar factory called SOSOMA and it is well known for having a product that is second to none. SOSOMA stands for Sorghum Soya and Maize because our product is a mixture on those 3. I would be interested in getting in contact with you to explore the business opportunities.
If all African Americans can come to Africa and open their businesses, they will be millionaires and billionaires in a short period of time. Africa is now the fastest growing continent in the world.
@@settherecordstraight7875 I mean you guys already have $1.2 trillion plus skills, knowledge and education, besides African American culture is huge and influential in Africa. African Americans was supposed to be what China is trying to do in Africa.
@@wileyjohnson5681 for sure, so far I know there aren't any dessert chefs solely dedicated to pastries based in Africa, you can make a killing with that!
@@dr.harnet466 I am an e-commerce entreprenuer and I would like to discuss partnering to bring more African products to the U.S. and global marketplace.
I was worried about you for a few months, cause I didn't see any new videos. But now your back, and what your doing is a blessing to the African Diaspora😇😇😇 Don't ever stop doing this good work(fighting the good fight). So thanks .. Love your accent😌😌😎
Dear Dr Harnet You are doing a fantastic job promoting African products in the Western markets...your enthusiasm & presentation is very appealing....the key to Africa's development is the growth of Agriculture & its value-added products, either as import substitution or for export .. .. The demand for glutton-free Cassava flour is there in the West....what's missing is the AWARENESS of Western consumers of this fact. What's so sad is the Rwanda farmer's 2 hectare land expanded to 40 hectares to grow cassava, only to find that the miller of this commodity has no export outlet.... May I suggest to you that , as a temporary stop gap measure, a BBC World Service Radio or tv correspondent based in East Africa or Rwanda is invited by you to visit a Rwandan cassava farm & also the above cassava flour milling factory and request him or her to promote the health benefit of this product in the West.. BBC World service has done such promotion of underdeveloped countries in the past. In this instance, promotion of this healthy flour will not only be beneficial to the Western consumers but , at the same time, assist the cassava farmers in Rwanda earn a livelihood to support his or her family & provide an income for the education of the children of this & other such farmers... May I suggest that you should also approach the CNN , the US broadcaster with a vast global reach , to assist the Rwandan cassava farmer in their hard work to make a living . As you may be aware, CNN has a daily tv broadcast specially focused on African products & businesses. I am of Indian origin, born & brought up in Tanganyika ( now Tanzania) where my father ran a successful agri milling business for many years....I've lived in England for many years, now retired... Nowadays, the big chains of UK's Supermarkets such as TESCO, SAINSBURY'S, M & S , MORRISONS are keen to stock on their shelves healthy, gluten free products & they are not concerned about where such products come from, so long as the quality standards & prices are reasonable & affordable... if therefore, as a start, the above Rwandan cassava miller were to send a sample of his product together with the CIF ( UK port ) price of his product & other relevant data required for compliance for export of such products to the UK market, I'm sure the response of these Supermarkets would be favourable, provided the product is competitively priced to match similar product from Asian countries such as Thailand , Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia.... Of course, I don't know if this flour is exported to UK from above countries & if so, what the Retail price of this flour from other origins is....this requires some basic market research which any Market Research agency's individual based in East Africa or UK can easily carry out within 2 or 3 days....in this connection, British High Commission's offices in E A or RWANDA would be very helpful in practically advising & guiding the Rwandan cassava miller about UK's market demand, price, importers, wholesalers of Cassava flour, the export processes, documentation etc. The Rwandan miller should focus on above Supermarkets, because, if he gets an order, it would be sizeable. these are 4 very big chains of Supermarkets & a combined order, even from two, could be significant.... At this stage, the Rwandan miller should just post a sample of cassava flour, CIF price, the list of ingredients, the breakdown of this product by weight per 100 gms into : kCalorie, Carbohydrates, fats ( saturates & unsaturates ), protein, minerals etc..... Trust the above info will be of some help Best wishes for your selfless service in bringing African products on the global map...may God bless you & empower you in your endeavour.. .God bless Africa.... Wow.This is really great. How i wish our leaders get to see this in Kenya. This will go along way in creating food security in our country and creating jobs for our youths.
Typical serikali saidia mentality. This is private sector investment. Cassava flour is available in some supermarkets in Kenya (Nairobi) - mhogo foods brand - readily available in markets too and all made-in-Kenya.
My dear sister, I'm agree with you, we need your Company in bono east Capital Techiman, I'm ghana from akan tribe. We produce a lot of Cassava in ghana as well. We love 😍 you people's Rewards my be loved Country 😘 🌹 🌹 🌹
Wow Dr. Harnet is out here in the field bringing us the real information! Thank you so much. I know you usually don't make social commentary Dr. Harnet but could you please address the seemingly growing rift b/t Black Americans and Native Afrikans? (I.e. the misconception that Black Americans treat Native Afrikans worse than whites/asians do.) From your perspective as an insider is it all that bad or is it does the rift just feel that? For the record, we Black Americans love our Native Afrikan brothers and sisters. B1.
Great job Dr Harnet. I'm from South Africa. As a suggestion usage of cassava flour usage should be shared to different communities around the world in order to create awareness as well as new developments as compared to the only traditional ways of using it.
Your knowledge and exposure in Africa is so helpful. I see great potential for businesses to trade among the diaspora. I also think you and Phil from the Advise TV show should do a live stream (if possible). That would be a great collab lol.

Well, if you're looking forward to import African descent wholefood stuff ranging from grains, cereals, spices, seafood or shell-food (like Snails, Shrimps, Lobsters, Tilapia, Catfish etc.), Vegetables to Fruits (Mango, Coconut etc.). Or perhaps you only looking for a way to invest to such business without you practically engaging in the operations, then that's also a great move. ONLY HONEST & TRANSPARENT DEALERS PLEASE. Great question, as I scroll through the comments I see many others have also asked but I have yet to see a response from the the host. Don't get me wrong, if what she says is true that black on farmers are benefiting from this that's great, I am however sceptical that the these farms are owned by black Africans.
@@alfonsom8286 sorry I know that this video is almost 3 months but I just want to assure you that this factory is owned by a cooperative of humble Rwandans who started as farmers in groups and later on saw the opportunity to open the plant, this factory is just a basic mechanical engineering it doesn't need any foreign investment or guide it's run by farmers no higher education needed. Much love from Rwanda
Gluten has and will not be an issue to humans, the pesticides such as roundup in products is what brings about intolerances, we have cases of tourists from the States taking pasta in Italy without it having effects on them. Its actually a marketing tool to have people buy different sets of food products. Food video though, good work.
