Gilbert Arenas saying he had a VHS tape of his highlights that helped keep him positive just made me be a lot more positive about all the high school highlights RU-vidrs. It's not like I've seen any high school lowlights RU-vidrs and I don't want people to dwell on the bad times.
Was put on the Freshman B squad this year barely play. Looked at my middle school video of me putting up threes and knocking them down and it reminded me how dominate I can be. People think 0 of me now. Here I come.
gilbert just gets a bad wrap, he is a real good guy. and unlike alot of other players with "reputation issues", gilbert has never had a problem with work ethic. im so glad my team the grizz signed him. i dont know why he doesnt wear number 0 anymore though...
@wallaceX2jc well if you know about michael jordan in high school, he didn't make it to the varsity team. as a high school kid, you get all this excitement and energy to make it to the varsity team, but jordan didnt make it there. so he got discouraged, but his mother told him to use that "energy" to prove the coach, teammates and other ppl that they are wrong in not putting him to the varsity team.
real sad for him because of the gun incident in the locker room with javaris crittenton this incident destroyed his career the adidas terminated his contract because of this and the reason he wears 9 on his last year on wizards this because this happenend in 2009 so he said he want to leaved what happened then he weared 1 because of his idol tim hardaway hope that arenas will comeback and gain back his contract with adidas
@StuttgarterHaenger-ok, what's happens afterwards? how do you improve after you proved people wrong? look for more people to motivate you? in my opinion, motivations come from within, not from others. why should we expect others to motivate us when we can't motivate ourselves? for example, academically, how do students get straight A's after straight A's? because they care about their lives. WE should start caring about ourselves and not worry about how others view us.
I don't think proving people wrong is the right motivation. If you truly care about yourself, you won't need to prove others wrong. Plus, how someone feels towards us shouldn't dictate how we live our lives, especially when it's someone who we don't even know. Maybe those people do have a point, but that just means you have to correct yourself, not to say you're wrong.
@RueggSwag1994 same here i love the wizards. i remember the first game after he got traded and it felt like there was an emptiness in the team, me, and the verizon center. i miss him so much. i wish the magic wouold atleast give him a chance. jameer nelson sucks so bad. arenas did better than him in the ATL series and they still kept playing jameer, thats why they lost. I just hope agent zero retires in a wizards jersey.
I'm living the same life, surrounded by people doubting me, they dont see that i work hard and i am dedicated to the game and never let me play. Sometimes i wondered if im really as good as i think i am but i must believe in myself and prove all of them wrong. Impossible is 0 and Gilbert is my motivation that pushes me through struggles, every day starts and ends with this video. IDOL!
