Aaah, I'm so happy the pair of you have become friends 🥰 What an amazing transformation from the purple turtle 🌻🌹Great job Dave 😉 Hello Daisy Darling 🐕🤗💕
Hahaha hi Rochelle. I always look forward to your comments. Thanks so much, I’ve loved doing this with Jay and we’re like two old gossips on the phone every day now. 😂😂😂😂 Daisy says hi 😀❤️
@@MayfieldRestorations aah, that's awesome Dave 🥰 I can pick up on that fun loving banter vibe between the two of you. Looking forward to seeing some more collaborations/challenges 🤗 Don't forget about Daisy and me 🤗🐕
Oh my gosh! This is beautiful! You and Jay really challenged each other and both of you came out with flying colors! I love this piece! You are very talented, and so is Jay. I would love to see a couple more of these. Take care!
This challenge is so much fun. Love the idea. You and Jay are in my the top 5 of my favorite artisans list. You both are meticulous, and, you both have excellent design and color sense. The walnut stain was perfect for the piece. At first I expected you to change the hardware, but I see at the end how perfect the hardware shape is for the total shape of the piece. The gold paint for the hardware matches a gold fleck in the stained wood. Overall it looks fabulous.
So wonderful to see two of my favorite artists work their magic. David (and Daisy), this was incredible work. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
I love that you two are friends, because I follow both of you already, and was delighted that you know each other and did this challenge. I hope you do many more in the future! Both of you had great outcomes! Love to Daisy!
You and Jay sure picked from the trash pile. I was astounded at the beautiful wood under that paint and paper. Bravo! Daisy had a very difficult time picking just the right cork. Hilarious!
Well, you would never think it was such a beautiful flowery purple thing before. You did a fantastic job. Now it looks like someone does love it. Great job, looks beautiful.
Update: Wow! You did an awesome job! I am an admirer of your work. Going to catch up on your other projects. Jay made a great recommendation with your channel! Have an awesome day!
Stunning result….geesh….between you two, you could have such a fabulous furniture rehab store. Both of you are only satisfied with stellar results! Yay!
Thanks so much, and the store idea is a very interesting one. We’d probably get no work done though if we were in the same workshop, we love to chat 😂😂😂👍
Great to see you and Jay working together! I found both of you on RU-vid at the same time and love the work you do. I look forward to your videos (subscribed) and so respect your creativity. Hugs to Daisy!
I love to see old wood furniture restored to it's original beauty, although I think this probably looks better than it did when it was new. I subscribed and I'll be looking for more of your beautiful transformations. This was a fun challenge with you and Jay. You are both so talented. It just goes to show that solid wood furniture can be fixed and refinished, not painted.
Wonderful colab/challenge. Your patience and attention to detail are so therapeutic! Love watching the process, the worse the piece the more pleasure I get from waiting for the wonderful result. As usual, though, the most wonderful bit was the clip of adorable Daisy!
Jay sent me and I'm glad he did! (subscribed). I picked up some tips from your video and look forward to viewing more! It was wonderful to see this piece restored to its original glory. Great job!!
I must say that piece looked like a lost cause, I was happily wrong. You did an amazing job keeping that piece from the landfill. I’m wondering who on earth painted that piece purple with those horrible flowers? It looked pretty atrocious! You did a wonderful job restoring it back to its original glory. Congrats to a job well done!
Thanks so much Janet. I’m not sure of what their thought process was when they chose the purple and flowers but I guess everyone likes different things 😂😂😀👍
Congratulations! You really did a beautiful job bringing it back to attractive usefulness. It's now a piece that anyone would be happy to have in their homes.❤
Liquid fabric softener may have been a good option for removing the flowers after the clear finish was removed. It works fantastic as a wallpaper remover.
I have just been to see what your friend and his kitty did with the one you sent him... now I watch yours... You had some challenges, for sure with those flowers... I loved seeing your little flower, Daisy... so sweet... You did an amazing job on your project.
Jay tempted me to come over and watch your video. I couldn't resist, I had to see what became of the purple paint and flowers 😂 It looks beautiful!! You and Jay did an amazing job saving these finds 💖 I'm happy to find your channel also, already subscribed 😊
Wow!!!!! This has become BY FAR my favourit restoration channel!!! I’ve been checking out restoration channels for a few weeks now as I’m interested in restoring some of my own pieces, and stumbled across this. And WOW! So talented and professional. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge 🙏🏼❤
The pair of you had me howling with laughter and for that I really Thank you 💕 I have had a terrible week and really needed this. You both were very cruel in your choices for each other which made me laugh too because I know you both knew the other was up for the challenge and oh boy were you both right. Daisy ❤ Wonderful transformation even the umm deflowering (snicker) went well eventually 😂 Your wife is going to stick you in the doghouse permanently if you keep stealing her stuff 😂😂😂 Loved both yours and Jays work equal first place xx
Hahaha so glad this gave you a laugh as we really wanted to entertain with this challenge. We both really enjoyed it too. I think Jay got the worse deal although the one he chose for me wasn’t exactly a dream piece. 😂😂 I’ve already been told off by my Emma (in a love,y way) 😂😂 Daisy says hi and Thankyou for your continued support 😀❤️🐶
Incredible and beautiful result! You and Jay do such fine, detailed work to resurrect these pieces that would otherwise be headed for landfill. Very interesting showing how you removed all the flowerwork. Do you know how many hours this took?
amazing finished result, both of you...I really didn't think they were recoverable...and that solid purple blot...do I need to add the two of you are winners! well done! thanks for sharing
I had found you some time ago and I had subscribed. 🤩I really like what you did with this piece I'm so glad that you and Jay had this little challenge. I've been with him now for a couple of years now 🤩
Wow you guys gave each other a real challenge. After all the paint and flowers finally came off you did an amazing transformation, love the end result. 🙌👍
