The jig is simple but I was trying to figure out how you'd control and rotate the piece the same amount with every pass and couldn't come up with anything. Your solution is brilliant.
Finally! A craftsman that engages with the audience, settles on the salient points, admits minor mistakes and moves through the steps at a speed which allows newcomers to the craft a doable entry point. Well done! I look forward to more!
This is why I subscribed to this channel in the first place: to watch you do impossible (insane?) things with this table saw. Mostly I wanted to see how you got the twist in there for this one. I was not disappointed!
What great skill. It's excellent to see someone making something just for the interest of wether or not it can be done and from a viewers perspective being able to appreciate the process. No politics, no shouting, no anger just creating. Perfect.
Creative misuse of power tools at its finest! The guy who developed the table saw is watching from the heavens, saying No! No! That's not how it works! And then why didn't I think of that.
Dude, You Knocked this one Right outta the Park! Outstanding No Joke, People used to spend Thousands for The Legacy Oriental Router Lathes and You just pulled this one off on a Table Saw !?!?! First there was that Bowl Jig, Then The Table leg jig. But this Spiraling? KaBoom, Izzy Kills it again! Fantastic Dude absolutely Fantastic! Thanks Bro
You really should get dust collection. It's not about the mess, it's about the air borne particles that will give you cancer. The mess management is just a benefit. Made A HUGE difference for me. Not only did my garage not have a permanent dust coating, I wasn't coughing dust up or blowing wood paste boogers out of my nose the next few days.
I liked the video, I don't think there is a video that Izzy made that I don't like, It's just that I don't 'like' video's that start with 'impossible' just to get more views, sorry about that.
Cool jig. The result is pretty cool. It's not a shape you'll need very often. But when you do, it's nice to know a way to make it without a 4 axis CNC. Also, your voice has been really low volume in a couple recent videos (including this one).
Well, that is a new way of twisting something! You always have some twist or another to your work. Totally awesome! As others have already said...you have a pretty neat brain for this stuff. She's a thing of beauty.
Hi there, nice one Izzy. One thing thou, is it just me or the volume of background music on good portion of your videos is too high in regard of your voice over....?
Hey Izzy, the stuff you come up with is nothing short of genius. No kidding! Big fan of yours. You keep making them & I'll definitely keep watching them.. thanks for sharing bud 😆
everything was cool, exspecially the Piece xD but just for ur own benefit I would say that at the end ur voice was too low compared to the music, soo maybe higher the volume up while lowering the music, but watch ur video for urself and estimate for u ;) Again, awesome!! got cool ideal for myself as well 😉
Speaking of dust collection, are you building one? Alot of videos are out there with self build propellers but they all build their fins by wood but I think it would a great idea to use a huge plastic pipe (I guess something around 20inch) for the fins of the propeller... I don't know if you guys have them as we have them in good old Germany ;)
Clever. Very clever. It's simple enough to do, but looks complex enough to be a fine table leg or cabinet support. Also, excellent tutorial. I liked the information you gave, describing all the parts, how they work, and the process itself.
Very cool, very instructive, well done in every way. I had no idea you could do this with a table saw. Brilliant. Thanks for taking the trouble to vid, edit, and post. Top marks!
You know what else gets you views? Secret compartments/passages. Also, I'm working on a secret (not secret) passage now, so it'd be really cool to see your ideas.
Izzy, I watched this video a few months ago and was so impressed that I actually made my own table saw just to try out this awesome project. I’ll mention you when I make my video (April 2021) thanks for sharing........ Know Expert......
That’s a really cool idea. I think that would make for an awesome lamp if you were able to drill through it for the wiring and then make a base for it.
Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire. The holy Quran -Sourate Aal-E-Imran, Aya 190-191
I've been trying to do this but with Sapele hardwood, it always gets "stuck" around 8 inches in, like the blade just stops cutting. I don't know what's causing it. Suspect I need to tilt the blade a bit toward the piece so it can actually cut with the top of the teeth instead of the sides.
How is the angle changing when you push it ? it's clearly not linear. Looks like it's something like the tan function around 0. The series expansion of tan(x) is x + x^3/3 + 2x^5/15 + O(x^7) so I guess it's close enough to x...
Well! I certinly enjoyed this video; I always am looking fr someone to give me a challenge! Ive done coves quite a bit; and beause everyone said "WOW", I thought I was h---- sh------. So thanks for taking me down a notch and putyou up a couple!!
Paint one spiral alternating Red & White. You have a Barber Pole. You have a Candy Cane; Green & White , Yellow & White, you have candy canes, different 'flavors'.
