While I've never gone on a date with a girl, my strategy for getting along with them is nodding along, trying to listen, take what information you can, smile a bit, and don't lie. It's not going to be a fun relationship if they don't like you for you. Try to squeeze in a couple of jokes, self deprecating jokes are most effective, but obviously don't go crazy. Basically, for talking with girls, I just act like how I would with a guy, except the girls a lot prettier, so while I'm naturally a bit more anxious, I also naturally smile a bit more.
