This would be a near perfect tractor to replace the TG285; 400+ HP with weight options, big efficient 12.5L engine, and all while keeping the versatility of a standard frame tractor. Not sure if it will happen due to the price tag on these machines, but I understand why people I've spoken to really like them. This series will definitely be on the watch list for years to come if we don't buy one of them this first go around.

Agco seems to be taking more of the market share. Looks like a nice series of tractors!! I will leave you with this thought from my recent experience- you get what you pay for LOL

you look good in there! very impressive machine! love when a sales person says we are going to take one out on demo. doesn't matter if its a red green or blue guy they are impressed!

Your right don't spend a ton of money on 1 unit when you need other implements to go with it get a good used unit that fits the price budget so you can buy the other stuff as well

Those are nice.. Glad to see you in Jamestown the other day. I was out getting a couple hydraulic hoses made. Probably the most expensive place in town to get a hose made but never have to wait 2 days for them to get a fitting in. Was going to introduce myself but you looked busier than I was.

I got a model of a 1042 Fendt here on my shelf. Probably the closest I'll ever come to one lol.

Never say never lol. I never thought a day would come where I would be thinking of needing to get an articulated tractor... but here I am shopping around for one.

@@farming4g haha well I know for sure I'll never be shopping for one but I'd just like to see one at all. Not many big tractors like that here, would have to look out of province I would guess. We did have an articulated tractor here at one time, just never did anything with it lol.

If your buying knowing you can grow into making the agco useful. Then it’s buy once cry once. Vs buy a little bigger and out grow it too quick then end up loosing on depreciation. If what you have is in shape too make it another year or 2 and get what you want vs what you can alford now.

our woodworking business is getting bigger and bigger, thursday we meet with another 2 lawyers make a new contract and make 100% sure all unclaimed orders are handled easier as we drove over 400 miles and 17 people again did not clain their orders, one of these orders is over $10,000 means we keep 50% and cancel the order [but items have all ready been made]

Well, you guys are not usually into big budget equipment, BUT, it can get crops into the ground, out running inclement weather. I think Brown Farms have one like it.

Anybody's guess on what to go with! Too bad it couldn't be like some of the things we've purchased the past decade where dealers WANTED it moved... heck of a discount on them, tends to happen more towards the end of the year vs the beginning currently. Definitely ain't going to rush anything, might end up using the TG another year unless someone buys it.

@@farming4g I understand. You are very cautious on your purchases. I know Cole the Cornstar managed a larger planter and much bigger tractor, Brown Farms got several pieces. But, your tillable acreage is different, as well as the weather. They both do grain only...Ryan at How Farms Work does both....then again, the depth of their soil is different than in ND. It would be nice if you could get the powerful tractor, and add 500 acres...but, those things don't fall out the sky. If you had a low boy behind the Volvo, you could justify rented land 50 miles away...but, if you rent 250, and 175 is abundant, it has little profit potential.

Are you going to look at a 8 series Massey? Or a T8 New Holland?

Boy, talk about being in a pickle. Would like the tractor except not at that price. Spendy, but how is the longevity? That's the dilemma, how long will it last before needing service and who would service it? Personally, I would like to see you in it, but I don't know what T8's offer neither. The height of it would help you see in the grain cart during filling. Like you mentioned....a kid in a candy store.

Hoping to take a look at some T8s soon... it will be a bit of a trip though to Iowa where there's a few low hours machines, and some T9s too in the area.
