One technique if you want to be exacting about it is keep a list of items and their expiration dates. Put them in date order as best you can. Then cross it off when the item is all used, and just search for a few items as they expire. A man that cleans out freezer Tupperware is a KEEPER!!! I have high standards but married someone who believe in frozen petrified Tupperware. It has been 30 years so he isn’t going to change.

I love love watching your Hoarder videos. I'm not a hoarder but have recently lost my Mom and stepdad five weeks apart . It was devastating to me . But was left with a two story Condo to clean out and move into my house and 3 storage buildings on my property . Mounds of paperwork and everything else . I have been purging for a year . It's been hard but will get better . It's hard to do this when your traumatized from finding my step dad deceased. So I can very much relate to your videos . I get motivated to get this in check . Everybody's got a cheese drawer? Is that a thing? I'm not at all cultured though and have maybe two kinds of cheese at most. But an icepack (bag) collection as a migraine sufferer I can definitely relate to. Also, wrapping salad in paper towel to keep it off the plastic can keep them from going soggy a bit longer.
The date on the salad never makes it. We pick out the rusty cores, try to make fajitas or rinse in salad spinner to keep it longer. Cheese sometimes put in freezer, only if we know we're not going to use it soon. We just learned that during Covid.

Great idea on the box breakdown as I'm tying them with twine or carrying them to the curb. I live in a rural area with no recycling anymore. We had a common area to drop off recyclables but it's gone now.

I just cleaned out my fridge today. So many veggies gone bad. 😢 Good comment about going through your clothes several times a year and getting rid of what isn't being worn. I pulled some clothes out to donate today, too.

😱😱😱😱😱 Noooooo - ceramic or porcelain tile is sooo hard on your back! Your "tall" is above your hips & you are the same leg length as I am at a kitchen sink, but your torso is long, like 4 other guys I know (3 with ASD). Cleaning the house regularly, running around daily on hard tile, I'm not kidding - if you think your back hurts now on some days, you will likely be in pain every day & blaming it on getting old. Keeping accent tile for the entry, they make an exceptional, commercial-grade, gorgeous roll out vinyl that looks like any dang thing you want. It cleans beautifully while preserving the "give" feel of wood, that is so much easier on your back. Stay strong - we selfishly all want to keep you making videos!
