I love when people insist that rap is just third-grade level rhyming. How many of those who complain could do this even if they were given all day to try and come up with it?
I know it sucks we never get original casts in Chicago, but I’ve been fortunate enough to see Wayne Brady in Hamilton, and Ben Platt in Book of Mormon.
Okay but can we talk about the absolutely bizarre collection of words this audience has produced? I love the "amalgamation" guy spelling "egregious" for them too XDDD
Lol I would stand up and be "I am a real autistic person and I stand by you!! Make fun of me and make my dream come true!" I grew up watching him on Who's Line and I always wanted him to make fun of me on the show.
I liked how the man writing on the board had difficulty writing egregious(? I don’t even know😂) so he asked his cast mate in the black suit, but he just shrugged 🤷🏻♀️ and was kinda like, I don’t know, man...is there an A in the beginning? Uh...I think you spelled it right. Whatever, it’s good. Most spectators can’t see the board anyway; as long as we know how it sounds. The motions between the two were hilarious to watch, and imagining the conversation was so funny!
@@S34U5 small thing I noticed about the guy: He missed the fist bump a couple times, but if you watch for a couple more seconds, you learn why; he writes with his left hand, so he's left-handed. He missed the fistbump with his right hand
@@AARonGo333 He sure was. I know because I saw him in “Hamilton” here in Chicago as Aaron Burr. I was all the way up in the nosebleeds, high enough for everyone to be roughly an inch tall without a pair of binoculars to see everyone better. He was awesome as Burr. And judging by the way he was sweating on that stage, he worked HARD for every penny he earned that night.
I'm a big Whose Line, Wayne Brady AND Hamilton fan and I too had no clue he was in it. I'm also surprised he was Burr. I would have thought he would be a good Washington. Obviously Burr sangs plenty too but I can just imagine Brady belting his heart out on One Last Time.
My wife and I got tickets to Hamilton before it was announced Wayne Brady was going to be Burr, and then our tickets happened to be for the next-to-last show he did. He was very, very good at it. Nailed the emotions perfectly. I saw the show again in Chicago later on, with a different Burr, and it was crazy how different it was. Burr can be played lots of different ways. There's an empathetic Burr, a vindictive Burr, a shy Burr, and Wayne was really good at being all of them rolled in to one.
Because he doesn't fit the narrative. He is who is he is, unapologetically. Hollywood doesn't like people who don't conform to their pigeon hole world.
Here is Wayne himself on a specific topic/issue that shows why he isn't a bigger star. Understand, I think he should be! Hollywood is STUPID. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L9YJYyPw87Q.html
I didn’t know he was in Hamilton until I saw him on DWTS. So amazing! The way he can come up with everything on the fly, it’s why he was one of my favorite in Whose Line.
@@severanvallery9554 "His own people?" Seriously? I'm "black" and I love this guy. And many of my family members and black friends do as well. Just out of curiosity, is that what you meant by "his own people?" Or did you mean Americans? Or men? Or actors? Or singers?
And some clueless people think rap is easy to do. Anyone who says that should immediately be given a list of random words to freestyle to. If its so easy, let's hear YOU do it!
When my boys, who are grown men now, were learning to talk, I used to throw that word and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious in. Can you say cat? Good, can you say mommy? Awesome, can you say antidisestablishmentarianism? Confused look followed by uncontrolled giggles.
Only Wayne can be oh ya i can knock out hamilton np , and ill entertain the audience for a extra treat ..so much talent.cant wait till see see him in movies
