Hey! I think the main thing that I noticed was that the difference in scale length across the strings affected the string tension and tone. I ended up using a slightly heavier gauge on the top strings than I usually do on a long scale gypsy jazz guitar in order to compensate for the lower string tension on those strings, and this meant the tone was a little different on the higher strings. Another small difference is that there is a slightly better upper fret access compared to a normal Selmer style guitar because the frets on the top strings were closer together. It all feels very comfortable to play though, you forget about the frets pretty quickly once you're playing.
